Seven years after she famously declared, "Yep, I'm gay" and shortly thereafter found herself relegated to the purgatory of "Hollywood Squares," comic Ellen DeGeneres is poised for a big career comeback, thanks to a G-rated Disney movie in which she plays - of all things - a fish.

DeGenerate is back and Disney's revving up its PR Resurrection Machine to reinvent DeGenerate as a fun-loving Hollywarped starlet (puke).

Disney/Eisner is determined to shove this misgendered kook down moviegoers' throats.

And get this, not only DeGenerate, but dumbo Disney's got Albert Brooks in this barfer of a film.

Brooks is arguably the worst actor that ever walked who actually starred in a number of Hollyweird's pukiest output.

I wonder who Albert had to do to get all those parts. Betcha he was on his knees a lot.....no, not begging....well, maybe, that, too.

Oi, the reason her show tanked is that IT SUCKED.
I tuned in after the gay thing, that show had the suck factor of Ted Kennedy stuck in a bathtub.
No comedy there.

For years, critics mercilessly panned Degeneres' show as cheap, ersatz Seinfeld -- until Ellen came screaming out of the closet. Then, the same show, with the same cast, and the same writers all of a sudden became cutting edge, fresh and funny.

Go figure.

I really don't want to eat fish anymore

Oh, she makes it too easy...just too easy...

But come on, she's the voice of a fish in a G-rated movie. If this is too dangerous for America, then there really is no hope.

Why do you hate America so much?

I love that line.

I don't believe it's an issue of being "too dangerous". It's a matter of what the mainstream of America is willing to subsidize. The mainstream of America, much to the dismay of the rats, has turned decidedly conservative. Behavior is now an issue, and after 8 years of the "Sink Master" in the Oral Office, reprehensible behavior is subject to questioning and scrutiny. We don't have to pay to subsidize someone we believe is an "ass" in public or in this person's case, "otherwise". I don't believe we're closer to being lost, but closer to being saved.

It was sooo nice of Disney to find meaningful work for an avowed lesbian. Just more proof that they are as family-oriented as J. W. Gacey.

I must admit that playing a water-sucking fish is, in itself, innocuous enough in appearance (so as to assuage any parents who would otherwise be concerned.)

"I really don't want to eat fish anymore," she says.

So many issues, so little time...

If Disney and McDonald's (the Disney kid's meal whore who is on the marketing bandwagon for this film) use their assets to sanitize De Generes, is it just another case of mass manipulation by powerful special interests?

"Duh, gee Tennessee..."

Let me help you with that. The point is not that DeGenerate's doing a voiceover, it's that Disney is doing its best to rub our noses in homosexuality--is-normal propaganda. Eisner works overtime to bait Christians and to proselytize his amorality on an unsuspecting public.

Now do you get it?

I dunno....

the article says that DeGeneres, rather than whine about being "blacklisted," has sworn off political activism. Which puts her ahead of Penn, Robbins, etc.

And there's nothing in the article to indicate that her character would be gay, or have gay overtones. And I suspect that she is hardly the first homosexual to do voiceover work in a cartoon. In fact, I'll go out on a limb here and guess that at least a few of the voice actors utilized by Uncle Walt himself were "pitching for the other team."

So what we have here is one of many, many, homosexual actors in the history of Hollywood getting some work while not imposing their lifestyle or agenda on the audience.

These days, I'll take that as a positive.

Ellen Degeneres, a lesbian, is doing a voice over for Disney as a fish. Ironic isn't it?

She plays - of all things - a fish.

That says it all, nothing left to say and will smell like a fish left in the sun for a couple of days.

Oh, and Albert Brooks is Gay?

I always liked his work. Broadcast News. Lost in America.

In fact Lost in America is a near pitch-perfect indictment of the elitism and empty-headed idealism of the aging baby boomers, people who drive around in Winnebagos, worship "easy rider" and pretend they are still "cool hippies."

(Love your Tennessee Tuxedo reference!) While I can't stand Degeneres, her face won't be on the screen, much to my relief. I focus on the fact that it's a Pixar film, and those are always extraordinary. While I'd prefer they'd get the great cartoon voice actors for major animated films these days, Pixar usually does well with the stars who have a much more limited voice capability than pro cartoon voices. For instance, I'm no fan of John Goodman or Billy Crystal, but both of them were perfect in their Monsters Inc roles.

I can't wait to see it either. Pixar won me over with Toy Story... they have not disappointed me since.
