"People are missing the real issue. Houston is promoting this racist cult. She does not know what they are about?"

Likely she does. Uh....it's not exaclt a cult. Before Israel would let this tribe (which was being exterminated by African Muslims) take refuge in Israel, their claims were checked thoroughly by the most respected experts in rabbianic law. IIRC, the consensus is that their tribe split off and continued it's cultural/religious evolution seperately from what is considered Judaic Orthadoxy today. The changes are actually considered small, if taken in the context that they split occurred several thousand years ago.

People tend to forget just how ancient Judaeism is.

See my posts #'s 62 and 82. The Black Hebrew Israelites make Farakhan and the Nation of Islam look like nothing.

Reuters Tuesday, May 27, 2003; 1:01 PM JERUSALEM (Reuters) - Whitney Houston on Tuesday visited Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon, who took time out from preparations for a summit with his Palestinian counterpart and President Bush to meet the pop diva. "It's home. It's a friendship I've never had with any other country," Houston, dressed in a long red robe with white embroidery, told Sharon. Houston was in Israel with her husband, rhythm and blues singer Bobby Brown, to visit "friends and family" among the Black Hebrews, an African-American community that moved to Israel in 1969 and settled in the southern town of Dimona. On Monday, Houston told reporters in Israel's southern resort of Eilat that she was on "spiritual retreat" during which she would visit family and friends in Dimona.

They were not being exterminated by Muslims. They are from the United States.

You probably mean the Ethiopian Jews, sometimes referred to as the Falasha.

There's actually a sizeable Ethiopian Jewish community here in L.A.
