I don't know if you saw the last episode of 'The Left Wing', er . . . The West Wing, but Bartlett invokes the 25th Amendment after his daughter is kidnapped.

The Speaker of the House takes over (the VP resigned in a scandal), and he's an R. John Goodman is the Speaker, and so far he sounds like Bartlett in a fat suit.

I'm not so sure the networks aren't looking around out there and wondering whether or not an R based 'West Wing' might not be 'That Thing Which Hath Not Been Tried'.

Liberals are a shrinking audience.

I have a blog called THIS WEEK ON THE LEFT WING. It does an episodic commentary on the series. (Why? Because I have some downtime at work). The blog is at http://theleftwing.blogspot.com

Ha! That's hilarious!

Do you think that NBC will allow Goodman to run with a pro-
right sort of storyline? I know that Goodman himself is a raging lefty (Linda Tripp impersonation).

What is it about the entertainment industry and good marketing sense (proper segmentation). Why cater to less than half of the available audience, and work to exclude the majority? Even more, work to insult them?

And she's self centered, ruthless and manipulative. Don't you think she's a contrastto the ensemble of characters. Yet she's more real and dedicated to her positions than the cardboard cutout Pubblies from West Wing. Just because the Left sets up straw men does not mean we have to.

I didn't see her as conniving and self-serving, just as a democrat. Heh. I guess that's the point.

Arts ping list!

Now, if we can just get the 1 percent who are conservatives talking with each other. Don't a few of you on this ping list work in Hollywood?

I'd like to point that he didn't use the word "democrat" but socialist. That is telling it like it is and we ought to use that term more often. They aren't just leftist, but they are socialists. Much more dangerous, to my mind.

. I have been harping on this to Rush, Savage and the others for a long time. It is past due to call them exactly what they are..Communists and Socialists. The term Democrat sounds too All-American..democrat..Democracy etal. Get Americans to thinking of those people as what they really are and what they really stand for and we can make a little progress.

So, Freepers, if you want a conservative themed show streaming or available for download on the net, FREEP ME at mattgarrett_99@yahoo.com

We can't really complain about the liberal domination of Hollywood if we're not willing to develop an answer to it via cyberspace.

I think O'Donnell used to be the chief bureacrat to Moynihan on the Senate Finance Committee, and may have helped to either write or do reasearch on tax policy. He was the Democrats go to guy to explain their flim flam understanding of economics.

My query is, how did writing get to be a closed shop?

That kind of segregation, or sequestration, of a trade or profession suggests a strong filter at work.

Okay, so who's the filter? And what does he want? Is this the Communists Ronnie Reagan never got to? Or does it reflect the influence of the Velvet Underground? Theater and animation are notoriously closed gay shops -- if you aren't gay-friendly, you have no career.

Have sociologists studied these tendencies toward social, career, and political segregation?
