In the next couple of months, they'll probably make it unpatriotic to be Democrat
It already was Neil. Nobody has to legislate that.

It is not unpatriotic. It is just selfish and stupid.

He's as whiney in print as he is vocally.
Just try washing your hair once in a while, and we'll let you stay and complain some more.

Neil Young was on MTV with Roger Clinton (yes--that Roger) about 6 months after Bill the Bender was elected. Neil was really furious, and slammed Roger on camera:
YOUNG: "We voted for change! We didn't get change Roger!" I loved Neil's music growing up....but I grew up. Pity he didn't.

I stand corrected.
Being a Rat isn't necessarily unpatriotic: it's just that 99% of them are (in addition to being selfish and stupid).

"But he's so out of touch that his advisers haven't told him that their record sales spiked upwards when that happened, and while the airplay went down the sales went up and their concerts all sold out."
Apparently Neils advisors havent told him that the Dixie Chicks sales dropped considerably following the comments, and the concerts were sold out long before the comments were made.
If youre going to call other people ignorant, always be sure you have at least a passing knowledge of the facts.

I'm not much in favor of the deportation thing - could we just go straight into the executions? Lord knows every time an artiste is criticized they're treating it as if they were shot, so it wouldn't actually be much different...

I am SOOO_OOOO_OOOO tired of people whining about being threatened for speaking out, and talk about how Bush has made it dangerous for those who disagree with him. Bush has taken away their free speech. HELLO? Bush didn't do it. Don't these people get it? It's the Vast Right Wing Conspiracy, Stupid!

As a foreigner, Neil probably doesn't have many rights here, so we probably could get that done without much fuss. At least a stay at Gitmo should be in order. It's not like Cretin's gov't would really offer much opposition.

Bush is not the one that polarized America. It was Clinton (and his allies) that did that.

Well, I guess he's gotta be doing something to get noticed and thank god it's not singing or modeling.

You have to have a great understanding of news, history, our own government, Plato, and have college courses other than women studies to be unpatiotic. They are just childish and stupid.

I liked Neil Young's stuff in hs & college.
Later I hated his music.
Now I ignore it.
the words are not bad but the voice is a mouse. I'm reminded of flannery oconner's novella "A good man is hard to find." the crazy kid says to the incessantly talking old woman, " you'd be all right if you were just shot between the eyes every day of your life."
