Since the end of the Iraq war, CNN has seen a disastrous plunge in its ratings from where they were prior to the war, CNN cofounder Reese Schonfeld observed on his website Friday. Without citing sources, Schonfeld disclosed that from January 1 to February 15, CNN/Headline News combined averaged a 43.5-percent marketshare. Last week, he said, the combined total of the two news channels is 37.3 percent. On the other hand, he noted, Fox News now commands 51 percent of the share points, up 42 percent over its pre-war numbers. "This is a time for ... analysis," Schonfeld declared on his website, . "This is unprecedented and calls for immediate action."

CNN's motto: WE HATE AMERICA, EVERYTHING IT STANDS FOR, AND THE IGNORANT MASSES BETWEEN THE TWO COASTS. TUNE IN TO US TO FIND OUT WHAT WE WANT YOU TO THINK.

"This is unprecedented and calls for immediate action."Perhaps their claim that they aren't an American media outlet had something to do with it.
Or perhaps it was their Baghdad Bureau slanted reports.
Or perhaps they just S*CK, they're unfair and unbalanced.
Perhaps they used to get away with it, before they had competition.
I guess they'll be looking for some conservatives to boost ratings, like pMSNBC has done. LOL LOL LOL!!!!

"This is a time for ... analysis," Schonfeld declared on his website Just for discussion let's "analyze" why CNN is crumbling. Here's a few choices to throw out:
1.) People are tired of their liberal slant on everything they say but CNN doesn't realize they are slanting it because they think everybody should think like they do.
2.) They realize that people don't like their liberal slant but they are going to keep doing it even though they are losing audience because it's what they believe in.
3.) Their hosts are BORING (think Aaron Brown) compared to Fox
4.) CNN show formats are poorly designed and hosts are badly matched with the format. Larry King does well in his format even though I think he's like watching paint dry.
Any more ideas/reasons? MSNBC is now putting on some conservative hosts to try to stop the slide. Will CNN do the same?

It is interesting to note that the networks that have hired former Clintonistas, ABC and CNN, are having trouble with the viewership. Hmmmmmm.....

Good for you. Now that your eyes are beginning to open, look around at what the liberals are really supporting. BTW, welcome.

More likely their lack of Lauri Dhue.

Actually, surprisingly enough, considering how Lib we are up here in Canada, CNN is the butt of many jokes and not taken seriously at all. Plain and simple, it's just crap, and it assumes it's audience has the brains of a gnat.

Here is his article:
"For the six weeks, from January 1st to February 15th, CNNs market share averaged 31.5%; Headline News had 12% for a total of 43.5%. This week, post Gulf War II; CNNs market share is down to 27% with Headline at 10.3% for a combined total of 37.3%. That represents a drop of six share points. On the other hand, FoxNews is up to 51%, nine share points higher than the 42% share it had three months ago.
On April 9th, in the midst of the war, CNN averaged 35.4%. During the war they did better than they are doing post war. Since the end of the war CNN/Headline News have lost about fifteen percent of their audience share. This is unprecedented and calls for immediate action. This is not a time for panic but it is a time for analysis. What is CNN doing wrong? How can it be fixed? Wall Street is unlikely to wait long for answers."

Gee.....why do people tune us out? Americans are sick of hearing your liberal crap spewed constantly.
Ha Ha.
To: Gillmeister
CNN just cannot understand why people do not hate this country like they do.
To: Paul Atreides
CNN's motto: WE HATE AMERICA, EVERYTHING IT STANDS FOR, AND THE IGNORANT MASSES BETWEEN THE TWO COASTS. TUNE IN TO US TO FIND OUT WHAT WE WANT YOU TO THINK. That's strange, last time I checked it was:
"We are a global network and don't owe any allegiance to the United States (unless, of course, we need to hide behind the First Amendment, in which case we are based in the U.S. and under it's laws and protections)."
Maybe the changed it because it wasn't catchy enough. ;-)
