I seen parts of this before. The discussion on loosening bolts on a bridge, prooved the story lacked some insight.
I don't buy it K. I think it just another "Leak" to raise the level of concern so the Fed can "Save the Day".

Canadians, women, African-Americans and Arabs with "clean passports" as spies and suicide bombersIs this the new "lilly white" fashion for the summer?
To: doosee
Wonder where they would go? West Virginia???LOL. Wonder if they'd pick up Democratic traditions there and start burning Crescent Moons in folks' yards.

Loosening bolts- reminds me of the tail that came off of the aircraft that crashed into a New York City burrough, in November of 2001. I don't believe the cause of the crash has been determined...

RE-read the article. He wasn't going to blow up any bridge. He was supposed to loosen bolts on a suspension bridge to cause it to collapse. Then her was supposed to drive a truck under an airliner and blow it and the airliner up.
Is it just me or do these sound like goofy things to do if you have anti-aircraft missiles, etc? I mean, the liklihood of being able to carry off such an attack is pretty slim.

Yeah, I don't think most people change their lifestyle patterns one iota for these alerts. I know we go about our daily lives and never think twice. And that's a good thing.

The discussion on loosening bolts on a bridge, prooved the story lacked some insight.Yeah, I was wondering how you'd "loosen" some bolts torqued incredibly high, and then, I guess, just tap them lightly out with a 3 oz ball-pein hammer? Riiiight.

Hmmmm. I never trusted Neil Young. I hope Neil Young will remember
Southern man don't need him around, anyhow.

In case you guys haven't figured it out yet, just because it isn't being abused now des NOT mean it won't be abused later on. Remember that income taxes were never supposed to exceed 10%, and were 1% for all but the wealthiest Americans. It took less than 20 years to become an uncontrollable freight train. Now, when Hillary takes her throne by any and all means necesary, do you really want her to "look for terrorists" at will "for the good of the country", Constitutional right be damned?
Besides, RD's original post shouldn't contain the sarcasm tag for TWO reasons: 1) we should never delight in the abuse of Constitutional rights, and 2) if they were violated, then he will walk. (A conservative judge will be very picky about preserving our rights, and a liberal judge will be very eager to let this fish go.)
But you go ahead and celebrate the Patriot Act. It probably will never be used to hurt your fmaily during your lifetime.

Of all the people who could have chosen George W. Bush for a screen name, you had to pick it. You've had some really goofy posts, so out of respect for our President, please choose another screen name.

"Al Qaeda has been patiently working on ways to sneak its evildoers into the United States during new heightened security measures, the magazine reports." Sneak them in? ROFLOL, that has to be the funniest thing I have read all month.

The United Arab Emirates-based Alsaha.com posted this eerie message: "Oh brother, further attacks are to come in the next 48 hours. All good Muslims in New York, Boston and other cities on the East Coast should leave." This works for me. Bye-bye "good" Muslims.

I worry about you guys who are disheartened when al Qaeda thugs are arrested in America before they kill innocent Americans.
Do you feel that we should do anything to protect Americans after 9/11, or should we just read your constitution, not mine, and wait until the next 9/11 and the next one and the next one? Nothing in my constitution grants the freedom to an al Qaeda thug to kill innocent Americans and handcuffs those who want to prevent the next 9/11.
One final question, do you feel that we should just ignore the realities of al Qaeda and 9/11?

In a major intelligence breakthrough, captured al Qaeda leader Khalid Sheikh Mohammed,
who has been spilling to the feds ever since he was seized in Pakistan March 1,
fingered the truck driver, Newsweek reports.
LOL! I thought of old Khalid yesterday...there was a show about the lobbying group
for the pornography industry here in California...and at a luncheon, there was
Khalid's twin brother, porn actor Ron Jeremy.
Wonder if the Al-Quida trucker gets convicted and sent to a jail in Ohio if he'll request a
tranfer to sunny, pleasant GITMO in Cuba!?

Right - the bolts holding the suspension cables are under tension and would not just fall out. Let them loosen all of them.

Didn't they arrest a bunch of arabs repelling off a New York bridge though?
Seems like this is a plausible story that they'd try it again.

What the hell is "cryptic" about this message? This is about as literal and obvious as a message can get without leaving a phone number.ROFL !!! No kidding!!!
Of course, they would add the disclaimer that it was cryptic because it didn't specify "the exact target, the exact day and time, or the method of attack." In theory, they need all of those things in order to raise the terrorist threat level to RED. I don't know about you, but if I ever see it go to RED, it's A LITTLE TOO LATE !!
