Sir Winston Churchill, the remarkably witty and inspirational British Prime Minster, once stated, ''A fanatic is one who cant change his mind and wont change the subject.''
Certainly, that description would apply to anti-war activists, who attempt to seize every opportunity to vent their hatred of our military and President Bush. Such is the case in the town of Mill Valley, California, where the sacrifice of the brave and selfless in the defense of our nation is to be tarnished by the cowardly and selfish.
On the morning of Memorial Day, the Marin Peace and Justice Coalition, protesting its exclusion from the main Memorial Day parade, will hold a ''march of the excluded'' before the main parade. Predictably, this group is whining that its civil rights were ''violated.'' Blinded by zealotry, the members refuse to recognize that private groups can decide who can and cannot participate in their activities.
Parade organizers explained to a Marin County newspaper that the anti-war groups behavior at past parades was offensive and its message divisive. Last year, the coalition had infiltrated groups approved for the parade and used them to project their anti-American message. The group also joined forces with another anti-war group Women In Black to march in a July 4th parade in nearby Larkspur last year and angered many in the crowd.
Offensive and disrespectful are how I would describe their disregard for the remembrance of Americas war dead. However, this is not new behavior for these people who are offended by displays of patriotism and take every opportunity to give America their middle finger.
While the embers of the World Trade Center were still smoking, the coalition members were out in the streets every Friday afternoon with their ''blame-America first'' rhetoric, in addition to playing The Internationale on a portable stereo. The War on Terrorism and Operation Iraqi Freedom were an excuse for these gray-haired hippies and their young ones to relive the days of protesting Vietnam, smoking dope, and going to Grateful Dead concerts at the Avalon Ballroom and Winterland. The Peace and Justice Coalition has taken every opportunity to side with Americas enemies, all in the name of ''social justice,'' including the one-year anniversary of September 11, 2001.

Just as "progressive" is yet another code word for the same thing!
Let me lay into them with all my might!
Give me a go!
Send me in coach!
LET ME AT 'EM, PLEASE!!!
Or Fascism (not that there's much difference). Mussolini used to talk about "social justice" all the time.
That's definately true, especially around Sausalito and Mill Valley. They're basically a bunch of 1960's hippies who traded the tie dye for expensive clothes and Beemers/Audis/Mercedes and Volvos. I guess their radical leftist activism makes the caviar and champagne go down with a little less guilt about being wealthy.
I would rather attend that school than the new Bill Clinton Elementary School that was just opened. I thought it had to be an Onion article but it wasn't. Of course BC did teach the little ones about oral sex. Great educator.
Sounds like you're talking about million-dollar houses with $4000 notes, etcetera.
