Pivoting his body with his right arm and holding a neon-green ruler in his left hand, James Milam, 10, crawled from grave to grave at Nashville National Cemetery yesterday morning, carefully placing an American flag exactly one foot from each gravestone.

10 years old and disabled and yet he does not lay any blame. He is what America is all about. That drive and determination. We won Wars with these kind of motivated individuals. Climbing cliffs on D-DAY the 2nd Rangers had a job, climbing ropes and ladders they would see the guy above them get hit and fall past them, they said to a man, "I was scared but I had a job to do, I could not stop there were guys below me if I stopped so did they."

This kid will never storm a beach, hopefully kids his age will never have the need to do so. But he what the blamers and haters of America can not kill.

American Spirit.

When people share stories about why the Scouts should have the right to do what they want as a private organization, they can point at this story of giving meaning to action, instead of responding to the PC culture.

With that attitude, with those guts, that kid is going to own a good deal of these United States by the time he's 35, you mark my words. He already owns the heart.

What a great story - its stuff like this that keeps me coming back to FreeRepublic. Thanks.

he does not lay any blame...unusual in this day and age, but then the kid is not an illegal, criminal, or professional victim.

Just every now and then, when you're down and think you got dealt a bad hand by nature, it's nice to remember that some people got dealt a worse one and don't complain.

He has thusly already. He was not aborted, he already knows how important his country is, and he has spirit. We are all children of God, and this kid is the Son of America.

There are quite a few elected officals who could learn something about America from this little child.
