Thanks. I remember hearing about the cutback right after 911, then it was dropped like a hot potato. Recently on FR someone was asking why it took so long for the jets to get there, and I responded that Clinton had cut back the bases. I didn't know how many though, so appreciate the information for future use!

Here's some more info.It(RADAR) used to be pointed all over America AND outward from America, prior to the Clinton Cutbacks!!!!:-( The people monitoring the radarscopes were reduced during that time period as well. Post 09/11/01, President Bush changed it back to the way it used to be prior to the CLINTON REDUCTIONS!!!!
