Agree 100% ! Short of vermin, like yotes and sod poodles , if ya ain't gonna eat it or donate it to someone who will, then ya have no business killing it .

For some hunters it is thrilling to hunt game that can fight back. To kill such a beast is not in the same order as deer hunting. It is triumph in mortal combat.
I expect that you won't appreciate this, or maybe you will.
If I had the money I would hunt polar bears with a pistol. I calculate that would give them a 50-50 chance.

these same excess animals would have to be shot anyway to assure that overpopulation does NOT kill off the rest, as happened in the 3 years immediately after Kenya banned sport hunting.
MOST African nations practice "gun control" and do NOt allow civilans to have guns, even for self defense!
a place where ONLY the police & military has the guns is called a POLICE STATE!

The fact is that in many parts of Africa there is no meat to hunt, and this wasn't caused by sport hunters.
It was caused by overpopulation.
Any industry,including the sport hunting industry, which will pour money into the economies of Africa, is vital to the survival of the people.
Like so many have said, I've never seen one animal killed in Africa that wasn't eaten.
It makes no difference how it was killed.
Poachers are the only hunters who don't eat their kill or give it to the villagers to eat.
All poachers should be shot and field dressed just like the animals they kill.
