at least in the old days, NOTHING went to waste on elephant,zebra,bleesbuck,kudu,giraffe,cape buffalo or other "trophy game", taken on safari.SOME natives even ate the remains of lion & leopard.
ALL the meat & offal went to either the hunter's meals or to the local natives (who generally were DESPERATE for protein in their diets!).

I just find it a bit odd for anyone to go to a far off place or anywhere else for that matter to kill animals then leave it(whether that be for natives or not). If the natives want the meat, let them hunt it. Creating an industry for rich "sport" hunters is BS in my book.
