There is an organization attempting to stand in the way of the transformation of the US military into a more efficient, more effective, high technology force. That organization is the so-called Project On Government OversightPOGO for short.
Consider that the San Francisco Bay Area Progressive Directory lists POGOs web site as a favorite web site. Hmmm. If the San Francisco Bay Area Progressive Directory likes POGO, something must be rotten.

There may in fact be some aspects of the transformation plans to concern us and prompt debate. But such a ridiculous letter coming from these four Congressmen immediately calls the whole anti-transformation effort into question. One would be hard-pressed to find three members of Congress with more dismal voting records on national security issues than Waxman, Skelton and Obey. In fact, Obeys record may be the worst in the entire Congress. Spratts record, while not great, is a far sight better than those of the other three. Im still trying to figure out how he allowed himself to be shackled to the other three. I hope his constituents are trying to figure it out as well. All too familiar.

The article has pretty good insight into how this kind of activism works.
These people are a real problem. Bush had better hop to those judicial appointments and blow off Frist if is doesn't happen soon.
