It appears that right now the cut is estimated to be 1 over. Therefore, Annika would need to hit par, one stroke better than yesterday, to make the cut.

Can she? Or will she?
Can she? Yes. As a matter of fact, if she keeps her tee game and iron game the same as yesterday and catches fire with her putter, she could win the damn thing and not just make the cut. With a hot putter she could be sitting at -5 right now.
Will she? I highly doubt it. I think it is going to be 50/50 if she will make the cut.
Great fun though.

If the conditions stay the same as yesterday yes. There is a concern that the wind may kick up today which would dry out the greens (she's not the best putter and the damp greens yesterday helped her).

She will miss the cut by two strokes, but will consider her experience a victory for women golfers. I say it will be a victory for USA's ratings, and nothing more.

Her only birdie yesterday was a lucky long putt on a par 3. I disagree with others, I think she was lucky to be at only 1 over. It will be very difficult for her to get any birdies and the horshoe might get her today. On one hole she hit a 226 yeard 7 wood 8 feet from the flag on her second shot....not a high percentage shot IMHO.

I just watched her round replayed on TOUR cast along side the leader Sabbatini. He routinely outdrove her (not as accurate though), but the big difference was the approach shots.
Where Annika was 12-20 ft from the pin consistently, Sabbatini was routinely inside of 10 ft, and drained most of his putts.
Annika has to give herself more birdie opportunities to have a chance. She missed two yesterday inside of 6 ft. Those will kill ya.
Good luck to her...

Don't forget Bank of America. They're getting all sorts of publicity out of this.
I agree with you though, I don't think she makes the cut. Of course I'm also the guy who thought she'd shoot 160 for the two days so what the hell do I know.

Where Annika was 12-20 ft from the pin consistentlyThat is expected when hitting long irons or woods into greens. That's why I say it will be difficult for her to shoot under par.

Was that the shot that looked like it was heading for the bunker and luckily for her hit the lip and kicked left back onto the green or am I thinking of a different hole?

Can anyone tell me why numbers are listed instead of a time under tee times ( under the "Today" heading on the chart )?

She needs a new caddie--obviously not using the proper irons.

catches fire with her putter, she could win the damn thing and not just make the cut. Great, except she's never been a great putter, and what you are taling about would qualify as something more that "catches fire." She actually didn't put that poorly yesterday. It's just that she was not shooting at the flags, and had very few birdie putts that even Tom Watson would have a prayer of rolling in.

I think she was nervous for the first nine...she was playing defensively.....trying not to make a mistake...it's a different mindset than when you attack the course...she had 2-3 very makeable birdies..she could easily be -2....

She's gotta go for the pins today, could shoot 69 or 79 depending on conditions..

He routinely outdrove her (not as accurate though), but the big difference was the approach shots. Her driving distance average was 248. And, yes, she did hit driver on the driving distance holes. So much for the silly idea that she averages 275.

Don't forget Bank of America. Who? Never heard of 'em. Now be quite, Annika's trying to concentrate.
