Mexican victims' kin threaten U.S. lawsuit

By Associated Press

MEXICO CITY -- The bodies of 11 of 19 illegal migrants who died after being locked in a sweltering truck trailer in South Texas arrived in Mexico City late Thursday, as anger mounted and some victims' relatives threatened to sue the United States over the deaths.

Mexican air force personnel unloaded the white and brown metal coffins, which were wrapped in cardboard containers, from the cargo ramp of a C-130 Hercules transport plane that landed at Mexico City's international airport.

The somber arrival of bodies came as relatives of two of the victims said they had hired lawyers to sue the U.S. government for $1 million for wrongful death and policies that violated the human rights of Jose Antonio Villasenor and his 5-year-old son, Marco Antonio, who lived in a Mexico City suburb.

Both died in the trailer, which was discovered by authorities at a truck stop outside Victoria, Texas, on May 14.

"Conditions for immigrants, the humiliations and harassment against them, are massive, grave and unacceptable human-rights violations," said Jose Antonio's cousin, 33-year-old Salvador Villasenor.

Villasenor spoke to reporters outside a Mexico City chapel where family members gathered to hug one another and sing religious songs around Jose Antonio's casket, which was surrounded by white and red flowers and candles.

The tiny body of Marco Antonio was being viewed by other family members in a funeral home in another part of the Mexican capital.

Villasenor said the suit would probably be filed under the statutes of an International Labor Organization convention on workers' and immigrants' rights.

He also said the family planned to allege negligence on the part of U.S. authorities because a Texas dispatcher fielding an emergency cellular phone call from one of the trapped migrants in Spanish was unable to understand it. By the time she found someone to translate, the call had been lost.

"How is it possible that a police operator in a country of (millions) of Hispanics doesn't speak a word of Spanish?" he asked.

Earlier Thursday, a source close to the family said it was considering suing the United States and Mexico, but Salvador Villasenor said the blame for the tragedy lay solely with the United States' unfair migration policies.

Wetbacks are illegal aliens and, in the US, are criminals! Here, we have the relative of a dead criminal asserting the right to change the laws. What needs to be done is to sue Presidente Fox. He and his government haven't done enough/anything to prevent Mexicans from breaking US law. It is probably because Fox gets a cut of what each wetback pays a coyote to try to smuggle him across the border and a cut of all cash that might eventually be sent back from the US.

The guy who took the cash to smuggle these dead criminals into the US is another guy they might want to sue. Apparantly, he failed to provide the "first class accomodations with specially prepared gourmet meals and attentive staff" that the brochure promised.

It's high time we started filing lawsuits against the family members of these illegals.

Do you or anyone else know if a lawsuit has ever been filed against the MEXICAN GOVERNMENT for allowing their citizens to illegally immigrate to the U.S.? I've seen where government officials FROM Mexico have tried usurping our laws all over the damn place. Hell, Fox and his cronies admit they want Mexican immigrants, illegal or legal, to cross the border and bring back some American greenbacks to prop up their failing economy.

Why can't we sue the Mexican government for all this nonsense?

"Conditions for immigrants, the humiliations and harassment against them, are massive, grave and unacceptable human-rights violations," said Jose Antonio's cousin, 33-year-old Salvador Villasenor.

While their deaths are deplorable, they're a result of their own ILLEGAL actions. They are not "immigrants", they're ILLEGAL ALIENS.

"How is it possible that a police operator in a country of (millions) of Hispanics doesn't speak a word of Spanish?" he asked.

How is it possible that in an English speaking country you expect Spanish speakers to be pandered to by every government agency?

If I went to Mexico I sure as heck wouldn't expect them to all speak English, including the police.

...but Salvador Villasenor said the blame for the tragedy lay solely with the United States' unfair migration policies.

Because we don't let every foreign national who wants to just walk in and take everything they want?

You are a grasping unreasonable scumbag, Salvador.

Hey Salvador, when you get your Government to fix their unfair migration policies, that result in more deaths and dismemberments of Guatemalans and South Americans then our policies, then you can harp. Until them, keep your trap shut.

Why has not one word been uttered by our President concerning stemming the tide of illegal aliens?

" How is it possible that a police operator in a country of
(millions) of hispanics doesn't speak a word of spanish?,
he asked. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Here's ONE reason ALL foreigners expect all our agencies to
speak ANY language that ANY foreigner DEMANDS........

"Another Clinton policy, Executive Order 13166, requires all government agencies, and all entities receiving federal funds (such as doctors and hospitals), to provide their services in any foreign language demanded by a client. The perfect opportunity to rescind this costly unfunded mandate was served up when the U.S. Supreme Court ruled two years ago that no one has a right to demand government services in languages other than English. But President Bush chose to continue Clinton's pandering to non- English speaking minorities. Regrettably, Bush breathed new life into Clinton's EO 13166 with all its follies and costs."

Clinton signed this bill and Bush ALLOWS this insanity to
continue........paid for by ALL U.S. TAXPAYERS

I actually think the govt does deserve to be sued for ignoring the will of the American people >>>>>>>

I have wondered how far a few Americans could get with a suit against the U.S. gov't. "DEMANDING all U.S agencies and
entites" to provide services, paperwork and translators in say, PIG LATIN ????

After all EX. order 13166 gives this right to ANY foreigner
why shouldn't U.S. citizens be able to DEMAND the same????

I know this might sound a little ridiculous, but it's no more outrageous than the U.S. providing services in *any*
language that *any* foreigner DEMANDS.

"How is it possible that a police operator in a country of (millions) of Hispanics doesn't speak a word of Spanish?" he asked.

Easy, m-f-er, because 80% of the "millions" of Hispanics are criminal, illegal, aliens, and THIS IS AMERICA, WE SPEAK ENGLISH HERE.

Get the #%@! OUT OF MY COUNTRY, AND STAY THE $%*@ OUT UNTIL YOU FIGURE OUT THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN LEGAL AND ILLEGAL!!!

This is outrageous. These people should be countersued for harassment. They commit crimes, then want compensation. We should not have to pay for their lack of respect for our laws and for their incredible stupidity.

F-in' A!. This is the one thing about Bush that drives me up a wall is completely unacceptable!

I'm tired of this worry about "Hispanic" voting blocks! Who allowed that "voting block" to be created?! The politicians who allowed their criminal, alien a@@es in here, that's who!

Godd@mn does this p!@@ me off! Our country is being OVERRUN AND INVADED BY THIS THIRD WORLD VERMIN! THEY'RE CRIMINALS! THEY ARE HERE SUCKING OUR SOCIAL SERVICES DRY AND OVERWHELMING OUR HEALTH CARE PROVIDERS! THEY ARE ILLEGAL ALIENS - CRIMINALS WHO BROKE OUR LAWS - THEY DESERVE NOTHING BUT A BUS RIDE TO THE BORDER!

It's a good thing they don't live in a world run by me. In my world, the penalty for illegally crossing our border would be terminal.

Because he is a globalist and doesn't want to offend his buddy Vincente Fox! It doesn't matter that he is failing his oath of office by omission and letting who knows how many Al Qaeda cells into this country to harm Americans. He can start a foreign war (or in Sean Hannity's words he can chew gum but Sean just neglects he isn't walking--protecting US borders) but he is not about to protect the American borders. Someone might get upset and call him a racist! The likes of Sean Hannity will talk about how this is a failure but he wouldn't dare actually "CRITICIZE" the President. He actually made a statement to that effect recently to a Congressman he had on the show. "I am not criticizing the President Congressman but to win the war on terror don't the borders have to be controlled! The Congressman agreed but then they just moved on. No holding Bushes feet to the fire no call for the President to answer this obvious omission. Sean Hannity if you see this, next time have some courage when you interview Andrew Card, or Karl Rove, ask them why this hasn't been done and don't let up until they give you an answer. You throw hardballs at liberals and if you don't get an answer you atleast come out and say "Well it is obvious you don't want to answer the question". If it is one of Bushes men or women you let them off with a softball nonanswer. It would be more genuine if you held their feet to the fire the same way you do the liberals but you don't. If you want to know where I stand ideologically check my tagline.

requires the US to *pander* to foreigners in ANY language
they DEMAND.

"I hate these leeches and unfortunately something needs to happen to wake our federal yahoos up and deal with the border problem."

How do you propose to do that?

This problem is endemic to every political group on the map, yet no seems to want to address the situation. Except Tom Tancredo. So why is this?

It is all about money, someone is making a profit, at our expense, in allowing these "illegals" to infest our population, and money never recognizes party affiliations.
