Rush: Kennedys Trashing JFK's Legacy to Rehab Clinton

"There's something really odd about all of this," top conservative talker Rush Limbaugh told his audience on Tuesday, after reporting that Boston's John F. Kennedy Library would be hosting intern-lusting ex-President Bill Clinton a week after an appearance by Kennedy intern scoopster, author Robert Dallek.

"Don't for a minute think that all this isn't being done to make Clinton look good," talk radio's number one opinionmaker contended. "The Kennedy family is helping to revive and resuscitate the legacy of Bill Clinton at the expense of JFK."

As reported last week by the Boston Herald, the JFK Library was scheduled to fete the Kennedy intern author yesterday, and had no plans to rescind the invite in the wake of Dallek's revelation that the 35th president cavorted with a then-19-year-old White House volunteer, Mimi Beardsley.

Compounding the mystery of the Kennedy clan's decision to host Dallek - hours after the Kennedy intern news broke - the Library announced that Clinton would be appearing next Wednesday to discuss his own tattered legacy.

"It is amazing to me what the Kennedy family is actually doing," observed Limbaugh. "They're sitting idly by and their watching all this stuff come out about their brother, their uncle, John Fitzgerald Kennedy, all for the purpose of building back up the legacy of Bill Clinton."

Noting that the Kennedys had apparently enlisted in what he described as "The Bill Clinton Legacy Rehab Tour," the top radio host mused, "This is like the Clinton Library hosting [rape accuser] Juanita Broaddrick - or doing a testament to [Whitewater kingpin] Jim McDougal."

Well, in Mass JFK is treated as a deity. The local stations tend to broadcast PT-109, and other Kennedy movies a few times a year (and especially around election dates). The local papers do "What if.." types of stories and daydreamings. But it's been 40 years, and Teddy sold his name to Clinton a long time ago. I'm surprised they haven't created a vibr***r with his likeness at the top yet.

Ted Kennedy: Republicans Are 'Indecent' for Using JFK in Tax Ad

Massachussets Senator Ted Kennedy says it's "indecent" for a Republican group putting together an ad campaign in support of President Bush's tax cut to invoke a pro-tax-cut speech made by his brother 40 years ago.

The GOP's Issues Management Center announced Friday that, to boost support for the Bush economic program, it would use an old audioclip of President Kennedy explaining why the nation needed tax cuts.

But Sen. Kennedy complained it was wrong to suggest that his late brother would have supported a Bush-style tax cut package.

"He certainly would not have," he told Bloomberg News Radio Saturday. "There was entirely different economic conditions at that time. The '61 tax cut was much fairer and much better balanced."

According to Bloomberg's Bill Small, Kennedy added that "he personally finds it indecent to have his brother's voice used in the Republican ads."

On Friday nationally syndicated radio host Rush Limbaugh announced that the GOP had contacted him for the Kennedy audio, which he obtained years ago to defend the Reagan era tax cuts.

Limbaugh told his audience that because Republicans turned to him for the Kennedy clip, he suspects he may have one of the few surviving copies.

So where do WE go from here..?

I ask this now just like I have been asking these questions about the tragic Death of JFK Jr ever since the tragic week he died.

I am still awaiting someone's Answer.
