For the first time, AMERICA was seeking help from France... but france has turned her back!!!

Please remember these Dead Americans when you go shopping, as the french seem to have forgotten them.
france has every right to disagree with America, but france has moved from simple dissent to active hostility toward America. france President Chirac warned East European nations that if they sided with the US, france would oppose their membership in the European Union. This very week, William Safire reported in the New York Times that france has been secretly helping to arm Iraq and has been helping Irag build long range missiles. These same missiles may NOW possibly be used against our own US Soldiers. Just as france has exercised its right to disagree, all Americans can exercise their right to boycott and help countries that do not stand with us. french Products and Companies to Boycott:

Hey, y'all.

Miss Billie's wondering about my backyard prompts me to post this pic of the backyard view I enjoyed everyday when I lived on the ranch.

The main house is in the tall trees in the midground...behind where I stood, and downhill, is the orchard and "a little cottage in the glen."

My Shangri-La...the full Moon would make silver of the sage and mountains...the morning Sun turned it all gold and rose.

The Duke, and Hoppy, and the Ranger himself used to camp nearby, facing down the Evil Ones.

Good night, all you Easties, and early birds everywhere.

What a beautiful photograph and word picture you have given us, jw!
You've made it come alive in our imaginations -
something to fill our dreams when we do drift off...

Thank you, Westie...

It is beautiful, and I didn't remember it's the 'same' picture - I thought I remembered the other one as being the 'road' to where you used to 'live'. :) At any rate, it 'is' worth reposting. :)

I hate missing you too dutchess. It seems as if ever since I started my three-day a week exercise program I stay behind with my work. There's so much I have to get done in the evening, and of course my days are full too. Yard work, visiting, working with the Tourism Committee and the Design Committee to preserve the old theater, planning the yearly Camp Meeting coming up in July, putting together Church programs, and so on. I thought retired people got to play around. Ha.
