Washington -- The United States has developed intelligence indicating that top al Qaida leaders operating inside Iran directed Monday's bombing attacks in Riyadh and ordered a terrorist strike in East Africa, according to a couterterrorism sources.
Intelligence officials say that the top operational leader Saif al-Adil, who has been Osama bin Laden's security chief and is hiding out in Iran, is apparently under the protection of the country's Revolutionary Guards.
