They start suicide/homicide bombings in this country

What do you mean, "start". What was 9-11? A peacefull demonstration?

I like it! Everytime I get fed up with this jihad bull, I go to my local gunstore to get relief!

The alert also noted that terrorists continue to select soft targets for attack, those that will yield a high casualty count. Examples cited in the alert included residences, recreational sites, shopping venues, and business buildings and complexes.

Strange then how some folks, on both side of the "isle", want to keep those targets soft, or make them softer, by banning private ownership of militia rifles and/or sales to individuals of the same. An "assault weapon" especially one with a "high capacity ammunition feeding device" or a .50 caliber "sniper rifle" are just the tools needed to counter these scum, and yet there are bills in Congress right now, to further restrict access by law abding Americans to such tools.

What is one to do when, being on the alert as our government is asking us to be, one spots a gaggle of foreigners in a convoy of SUVs accompanying a gasoline tanker, just turning into the mall parking lot? Throw spitwads at them? Or reach back into the rack of your pickup, or the trunk of your car, grab your militia rifle, and start cutting down the odds, starting with the driver of that truck?

Allow me to paraphrase your post: America Bad / Others Good

I think it's time that all of the people looking for someone to blame simply realize that there are people out there who want to kill us wherever we live and breathe. There is no solution, there can be no peace. The only option to dealing with these people is to hunt them down and kill them before they get the chance to enact their twisted dreams.

I read a lot on here, and hear it all the time from O'Reilly, that we need to seal the borders. How do you propose to seal 5000 Miles of border, most of which is either quasi-desert or frozen badlands? Unless you propose to repeal the Possi-Comitatus provisions then militarizing the borders is not an option.

In case you have not noticed yet our intelligence capacity has been improved by leaps and bounds simply by neagating the Clinton 'bad actors' ban. If you want to catch the pigs, you've got be willing to get a little muddy. We are no longer surprised when something happens, and for those not paying attention there are WEEKLY arrests within our borders. We are safer now than we were pre-9/11, and we get safer still with each arrest, capture, and raid (foriegn and domestic).

Also remember that by shutting down Afghanistan and Iraq as training bases we have effectively rendered finite the number of 'trained and organized' terrorists (Syria and Iran please take note). Thousands of these potential killers are in custody or dead. And, in as much as there are no 'repeat offenders' in the suicide business the progress is real and significant, even when they succeed in areas we do not control.

If you DON'T hear what is happening at CIA and DIA I consider that a good thing. Every operation is not for public consumption. Considering the climate - the lack of successful attacks within our border should be considered de-facto evidence that we are in fact winning the WoT, but we need to maintain our will to continue the fight. Thank God for an oval office resident who has that courage.

After calling 911 on your cell phone of course. But that'll just be so they can send enough ambulances, since it will be a bit late by the time the police, let alone the National Guard, get there to stop things before somebody gets killed. With arms in the hands of Americans, it could very well be the terrorists, without them, it will most assuradly be American men, women and children.

U.S. public warned to be on alert for truck bombers

Apparently, we should be on the look-out for trucks stenciled, 'TRUCK BOMBERS INSIDE'??

As an aside, we have mega-fleets of trucks pouring out of Mexico carrying who know who and what -- might Homeland Security send over a smattering INS inspectors to address THIS??

Naah -- wouldn't want to inconvenience them with the obvious...

In the wake of the deadly terrorist attacks in Saudi Arabia this week, the State Department issued a nationwide alert yesterday for the U.S. public and American businesses to be on the lookout for possible attacks by suicide truck bombers in this country.

Thanks also for the formatting. Why is the State Department, which is concerned with things outside the US and well known for their nice travel advisories telling you what countries to stay away from, issuing an alert for something which might happen inside the US?

Shouldn't the alert coming from something like the Department of, er, Homeland Security, maybe raising the color code up to Code Puce or whatever?

Or where is the FBI? Oh, that's right, they're busy up in Frederick MD draining Hatfill's pond.

Has anyone noticed how the immediate response of the local on site professionals was to detail the suspects as middle-eastern...only to have their observations "shoot down" later by higher levels...now switch to TWA-800...again the locals on site were calling it a missile, however after "senior" people became involved, the story was changed....just wondering

Aftern they are in their trucks and on their way, it is too late.
As the article says, you have to stop them BEFORE they get that far.
- - -
"...Asking the public to watch for and report any suspicious activity, the alert listed several indicators or actions that could be a precursor to an attack, including:
• The theft of explosives, blasting caps, fuses or certain chemicals used in the manufacture of explosives.
• The rental of self-storage space for the purpose of storing chemicals or mixing apparatus.
• The delivery of chemicals directly from the manufacturer to a self-storage facility or unusual deliveries of chemicals to residential or rural addresses.
• Chemical fires, toxic odors, brightly colored stains or rusted metal fixtures in apartments, hotels, motels or self-storage units.
• The modification of a truck or van with heavy-duty springs to handle heavier loads.
• Small test explosions in rural wooded areas or the treatment of chemical burns or missing hands or fingers.

They start suicide/homicide bombings in this country and the backlash will be beyond what they ever conceived.

I hope your right that the MidEast will be rained on. This is exactly the type of acts we expected from them after 911 and with new security in place.

You brought up a good point about Storage. Wouldn't it be wise for the Government to issue this warning to Storage Companies to report anything suspicious? God knows when I go to mine, i see alot of unseemliness!
