The 89-year-old former president was playing golf in 96-degree weather....?i>...with Bob Hope.

Dizzy spell? That sounds like his entire presidency.

Prayers for President Ford. Best wishes for him, but I hope Betty gives him heck for playing in 96 degree weather!

What decade are we refering to here?

That's odd. Usually he trips first and gets dizzy later.

So he wasn't eaten by wolves?

Mad dogs and English men go out in the noon day sun, and so it appears that former presidents do also.
I live in southern California and know enough to stay out of the sun when the temperature soars. Even so, I've twice experienced heat exhaustion.
Older people, like President Ford, are more easily effected than younger people. I'll bet he went out to play in the heat and didn't even bother to carry a bottle of water with him.

I wonder if it's a true story that former President Ford once hit a man with a golf ball and a year later on the same day he hit the exact same guy on the same course and same hole again.

Schmuck! I like Ford a lot, but never play golf in weather where the temperature is higher than your age - at least once you hit 60.

Typical Ford, still golfing in 96 degrees. Nothing ever stops him from getting what he wants. Best wishes Mr.President!

I hope he'll be OK. -----and learned a lesson!
I liked him as president. He was the right person for the time.

He's had a dizzy spell for almost 30 years. His pathetic wife, by all indications, has been dizzy all of her life. Thanks, Gerold, for Jimmy Carter.

I hear former President Carter sneezed last week and had no handkerchief.
What a non-story. It sounds like something from The Onion.

One of the dopiest old farts ever to inhabit the White House (WIN buttons?). What a waste he is/was; collecting millions for being a complete doofus. A complete, total nonentity.
At least now that he's 159 years old he has an excuse. His idiotic "presidency" can only be attributed to early-onset dementia.
Frankly, I'd forgotten he was still alive.

It probably just hit him that he lost to Jimmy Carter!
