The Extreme Left Roars Back: Dean Declares War on the DLC

Dean for America

May 15, 2003

Al From, founder and CEO of the Democratic Leadership Council (DLC) and Bruce Reed, President of the DLC, yesterday circulated a memo to "Leading Democrats" titled "The Real Soul of the Democratic Party" in which they argue that traditional Democratic values are "an aberration" and that the thousands of grassroots Democrats inspired by Governor Dean's message to "take back our party" are "activist elites" and not "real Democrats."

I disagree. Activism is the lifeblood of our party and our nation.

And, Governor Dean's political conscience and his caring, common-sense issue agenda qualify him as the best candidate to run against George W. Bush despite grumblings by a few DLC members.

Please help Governor Dean by affirming your support for his campaign today.

Use this link: (deanforamerica.com/DLC) to send a message to the DLC that a few members of the DLC do not represent the views of the entire Democratic Party. You can call the DLC at 202-546-0007.

And if you can, please consider making a special contribution to Dean for America today to show Howard Dean has the support of America's grassroots activists. www.deanforamerica.com/showthedlc

This is war. The special DLC site Dean has set up is being flooded and is currently down.

traditional Democratic values

Like:
killing the unborn,
taking firearms from law-abiding citizens,
punishing the innocent,
freeing the guilty,
blaming America for everything,
trashing morals and values at every opportunity,
playing the race card
promoting the gay agenda,
raising taxes,
spending willy-nilly
stealing votes through fraud and
accomodating union thugs.

Those Democratic values?!

The Extreme Left Roars Back: Dean Declares War on the DLC

Is that the point where the left meets the right? Good for Dean!

Hmmm. Shouldn't Dean demand more time for inspections to work before declaring war?

Let's be sure that one thing is clear: the DLC was set up to teach Democrats how to LIE and how to CON normal American families into thinking the Democrat Party is more mainstream than it really is.

Believe me, there is zero ideological difference between Dean and the DLC. They are ALL socialist scumbags whose agenda is to destroy traditional America and its families. They are on the same side in the culture war, hand in glove.

Dean simply wants to shoot straight about it while the DLC wants to sell a con job with the kind of smooth lying perfected by one DLC founder named Clinton.

I tried to come up with a reply with wit enough to match yours. Couldn't do it. Very good!

I think Dean may (oddly) be the one non-gun-grabbing Dem candidate.

He sucks in every other way, though. I hope he wins the nomination. He wouldn't win a state. Only Al Sharpton is less appealing to the mainstream.

Howard Fineman, whose analysis I usually choose to ignore, said something last night I hope is (partially) true. The way the DLC and most Democrats view Dean is the same way most Republicans viewed Barry Goldwater in 1964. Yet Goldwater won the nomination and the same may happen with Dean. The result of Goldwater was the Democrat supermajority congress 1965 which gave us HUD, massive third world immigration, the National Endowment for the Arts, Medicare and massive increases in Welfare spending.

It all backfired on liberals as Goldwater and Democrats embracing off the cliff socialism gave us Reagan.
