Prudence With Accusations Against Toa Baja (Puerto Rico) Mayor

Governor Sila Calderón will not take immediate measures against Toa Baja Mayor Víctor Santiago Díaz, against whom the Municipal Assembly filed a complaint for alleged improper conduct of a sexual nature.

"There have been public statements by the Assembly and the Mayor. These statements are being reviewed by the pertinent political authorities with the utmost respect towards the Assembly and the Mayor and I am not going to rule anything at this moment while the situation is being investigated," Calderón stated.

The complaint asks for the Mayor's removal. He is accused of engaging in consistent acts of moral depravity by touching and sexually harassing employees in their intimate parts, such as having sexual relations against nature in exchange for assisting a citizen, acts that constitute a serious crime.

This is not the first time the Mayor is involved in accusations of this nature.

Denies a Conflict over Cantero

The sentimental relationship that Calderón has with her former Secretary of Economic Development Ramón Cantero Frau would affect the Special Communities project in a positive way, the Chief Executive maintained yesterday.

"It will affect it in a positive way because it is my most important project. There is no conflict," Calderón replied to a specific question on whether her relationship does not constitute a conflict of interest since Cantero Frau presides the Perpetual Special Communities Trust.

Calderón assured that that organization, as others in the government, are autonomous.

"The Special Communities project is my administration's most important project and all directors I appoint to the boards work with autonomy and my total confidence," she said.

The Governor and Cantero Frau maintain a private relationship that they have not wanted to specify publicly, but Calderón has declared in Popular Democratic Party activities that she is in love. This past Wednesday night, Cantero Frau accompanied Calderón to a political activity where he was asked by the audience to make it to the stand. During the whole activity, the couple exchanged looks and smiles constantly.

"What I said last night is that we are all in love with Puerto Rico, the Popular [Democratic] Party, and the Commonwealth," Calderón affirmed.

The Chief Executive divorced insurance executive Adolfo Krans over a year ago. Afterwards, Krans married publicity executive Ivelisse José Jorge from the Dominican Republic. It was learned yesterday that Krans divorced again.

When asked for a reaction to her ex-husband's divorce, the Governor replied: "None."

Well, I guess if all the politicians in Puerto Rico are going to work so hard to screw the U.S. Taxpayers, they might as well be screwing each other, too.

Yeah, you're right. If some two-bit politician from a backwards, socialist, 'banana republic' like Puerto Rico wants to use some of the $18.8 billion dollars plus the U.S. Taxpayers are forced to squander on them, every year, to buy a little luvin' from her latest sexual plaything, who am I to complain?

It's not like there's anything better we could be doing with all that money. Is there? :(
