That is outrageous! A million $s for every four speeches?

What is outrageous is groups willing to pay him for his worthless speeches. All cliches and platitudes and Bush bashing.

The fact is, he's waiving the fee to do the gig to get the kind of coverage this very article gives. A big old ego stroking boost, as his 60 Minutes gig is tanking fast, and there's been a lot a talk about how sleazy he is. He needed a boost and he needed it quick. Too bad some will allow themselves to be pandered to.

Clinton charges $250,000 for domestic speaking engagements, and $350,000 or more for those outside the country

How much will it cost for him to STFU?

It would have been criminal to take the regular speaking fee of $250,000. Bubba is not insulting the folks at Tougaloo. He is doing them a favor by giving them lots of publicity. He would do even better by not dissin' the current administration and focusing on encouraging the new graduates to get out and teach some of the sixth graders in Jackson Public Schools to pass the 6th grade math and language arts exams.

How desperate is Bubba for attention that he has to give up his speaking money?

He is doing them a favor by giving them lots of publicity.

clinton never does anybody a "favor" where there isn't something in it for him. The only question is, what is the "something"?

He would do even better by not dissin' the current administration and focusing on encouraging the new graduates to get out and teach

He could do better, but he won't. Look for more Bush-bashing and self-preening. He won't be able to help himself. He has a turd legacy to polish!

This is nothing more than the Harlem office crapola. After Bubba lost his prestigious office that he really wanted, he then went to Harlem and acted as if Harlem was the only place he wanted to be all along. He then proceeded to make up a story on the spot about how much he used to visit Harlem when he came home from England. It was his version of "well, some of my best friends are black people." This, is just his way of saying "I am one of you, I have always been one of you, and I will always be one of you. Remember, I will always put you first and so will my party." He is a flimflam artist of the highest magnitude.

He identifies with THEM? Sounds like a racist comment to me. Maybe he should tell THEM what YOU PEOPLE want from a president.

It's rather pathetic that some people in this world are so stupid and/or gullible.

Thanks for the ping!

"People are drawn to his charisma and his work on the economy, but others are turned off by the scandal involving White House intern Monica Lewinsky, said Mike Espy, a former Clinton administration agriculture secretary."

Yeah, I'm one that's turned off by him, but I'm also turned off by the nefarious Mr. Espy, who should be in jail with the bubba.
