President Bush began the day early with remarks at the Hispanic Prayer Breakfast in Washington DC. Later in the day, Bush spoke at the annual Peace Officers Memorial Service, where he praised and thanked law enforcement officers for their dedication and sacrifices. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

Regarding your last post, I believe we need to start praying NOW for 2004---I think the storm clouds (demonic hordes) are gathering even now to prevent his re-election. Now everyone else still left on this thread will think I'm wacko. But you know what I mean Amen! I have already started even though the election is 18 months away. The 'demonic hordes' (specifically, one Terry McAuliffe of the DNC) starting plotting how to defeat GWB the day he became president-elect.

The demonic hordes are indeed gathering, Belle (NO one here thinks that's a 'wacko' comment!). It is extremely important that we pray for the upcoming election, with even more fervency than we prayed for the 2000 election!
BUT......the ONE who is in us, and in our President is greater than the one who is in the world. We have to pray with confidence that God will hear and answer our prayers as he did in giving us this Godly President in 2000!

The Bible tells men to LOVE their wives as Christ loves the church. Women are told to respect their men. I believe if a man truly loves his wife and does everything he can to please her, she will grow to respect him. I'm not saying to buy her everything she wants or let her manipulate him, but to really love her and put her needs first. I am fortunate to be married to someone like that and when I see how others appreciate his servant's heart, it makes me respect and love him more. He is truly one of the most selfless and humble men I've ever known. When I was so sick, he waited on me hand and foot, helped me get dressed in the morning so I could go to work because it was so tiring to do that myself. His one thought is to serve, not only me but others. Most women don't have that kind of relationship. More and more I appreciate him because of his selflessness.

What a blessing! My first was a tall, handsome, sweet man until alcohol took over. We had a marriage made in hell for 25 years. We got a divorce, friendly enough, and we did remain friends until he died of a bleeding ulcer because of the years of alcoholism. Then three years after the divorce, I married my present husband who is my dearest friend. We both love the Lord and serve Him with our home and our lives. This is the way it should be. I was 19 the first time. Too young. I wasn't very mature then either.

That's right. We're fighting a spiritual battle here, against powers and principalities. So we need to be vigilant, wise, and on our knees. Love, Mxxx

I understand what you mean, Belle. We're in a spiritual warfare the intensity of which has increased greatly over the past few years. Time is coming to a close and the devil is really running scared because God is a-rising! he doesn't like President Bush and his cohorts, the liberals, are mirroring that hatred in their venom. We need to pray for him and for the Peace of Jerusalem on a daily basis. He spends an hour a day in prayer before his day starts. He knows from whence HIS strength cometh. Maryxxx

We're fighting a spiritual battle here, against powers and principalities.Carolinamom and I discussed this last night.
If I had told you back in January that before Memorial Day that both CNN and The New York Times would be exposed for the scum they really are, wouldn't you have waved me off as kind of crazy....or at least wishful thinking?
Something really *IS* going on here.

Something really *IS* going on here."If My people, who are called by My name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land."
This is spiritual warfare, alright, but the evil of Bill Clinton, and the horror of what this country would be like if we continued in our 'wicked ways,' woke up a lot of Christians who had grown complacent. George W. Bush's candidacy made it apparent that God was not finished working in our nation yet, and the Holy Spirit spoke to Christians across America to pray for this man, for his election, and for our country.
God's people are praying as never before, and God is healing our land. Praise the Lord!
