ARe they going to vote on this thing tonight?
I heard earlier that they have the 50 votes and that Cheney is going to break the tie.

Does this make it a done deal? If so, this is terrific! Take that Warren Buffet! You and all the other CEOs who were against this better start paying out some money to the owners of your corporations or your stock will not do as well as it might.

I guess our founding fathers, yes fathers, knew what the hell they were doing.
They also knew what they were doing when the formed the electoral college by the way.

Does this mean they still have to get the budget out of the Senate?

Was the expectation of this vote the reason the stock market was up?

I wonder if this is the first step in the elimination of corporate taxes? Seems like a logical first step.

Temporary blah, blah, blah...This is BS. The GOP controls the House, Senate and the White House. Show some balls. Eliminate the federal income tax and replace it with a national sales tax or consumption tax. Fire the IRS!

1. Looks like they had to include some tax hikes and spending increases to get the elimination of the double dividen tax.
2. Senate and House version don't match. Will have to go to conference to bring the two together. I suppose this will create another opportunity for the Dems and the RINOS to water this down and/or put more of their tax and spending increases into the bill.

Did you happen to see whether the Mikulski Amendment was passed? I missed it.

Amazing. Bush and his cabinet are cleaning out the corruption of the previous two administrations. Getting taxed twice was always a ripoff.
