Any woman can go longer than any hubby, generally speaking. Children make you tired. When a person's tired they usually want sleep more than they want sex. That isn't the point.
The point is there are worse things than being pestered for sex when you're not interested. Such as, never being pestered for sex and realizing it's because he's no longer interested. They do get the message eventually.
No, I never had kids, but I have definitely been in the situation I just described. Rejection hurts just as bad when the shoe is on the other foot.
When I said "dying on the vine" I wasn't talking about celibacy.

Some men go too far in the pestering though. I use to chat in a chatroom for pregnant ladies and women who had just had babies a lot when I was pregnant. I honestly heard way too many women asking how to fend off their hubby's during the 6wks after childbirth. First of all, I can't believe a man would want to even "go there" that soon after, and second, some of them sounded truly desperate for ideas because their hubbies just wouldn't leave it alone. I felt so lucky to have a hubby that understood that stuff hurts down there so he better not think of going there again until I suggested it.

Regardless of his sex drive, a woman who is apparently repulsed by him is not sexy.
