Any DAY 3 articles or links thereto, feel free to put 'em here.

The resolution COMMENDING Texas Democrats for shirking their duties, and costing Texas taxpayers tens of thousands of dollars immediately, and hundreds of millions prospectively, was actually passed by the 'Rat controlled Oklahoma House on Tuesday (day 2 of the quorum busting chicken run). Strangley, though, this is first article I've been able to find with details, and few others (if any) even mention it. This AP piece wasn't even picked up by an Oklahoma paper, s'far as I've been able to google. What gives?

What an idiotic resolution from the Oklahoma House if true. I look so forward to the day when Republicans take control of the Oklahoma Legislature. Then perhaps our future minority DemocRATS can infest our neighbor to the south when things don't go their way. What a bunch of losers. They are a sorry lot, aren't they? Must be where that mascot donkey came from. It sure fits them. No offense to the donkey of course. We need to be reminded of these stupid acts when we get into the voting booth come election time.

I'll tell you what gives. This is an ORCHESTRATED event staged by democrats to show they THINK they still rule things. And ... McAwful and his bosses - Hitlery and x42 are behind this.

First of all - I'm astounded how stupid and totally ignorant the dims are of the times we are living in. THE PUBLIC IS FED UP WITH THIS REBELLION ON THE PART OF THE DIMS.

The TX dims think they're protesting an 8-9 seat increase for the repubs. This TOTAL IDIOTIC CHILDISHNESS is going to cost them so big they won't even know what hit them. I'm mad - so mad that I'm going to work for every repub to get elected in the coming election.

If these idiot dims don't have any more regard than this for the voters, why should anyone vote for them.

But ... as usual the left-wing media has buried this story - which tells me THE MEDIA KNOWS THIS WILL NOT SET WELL WITH THE VOTERS, SO THEY'RE TRYING TO KEEP IT FROM ERRUPTING.

I think it's time to get the email and faxes drowning the offices of the congressmen in Washington, D.C. They better put a stop to this rebellion NOW!!!

Well I've lived in Texas and Oklahoma both and I can tell you that there are plenty of people in both states that don't find this as funny as the heathens in the Oklahoma legislature do.

This also dispenses with any wonderings if this was pre-meditated. Which also makes it quite illegal.

I might have to tell my boy to move the hell out of okiehoma if this crap don't stop.

I think I should change this to "Not Wanted in Texas". Let 'em stay in Oklahoma, they quit, walked off the job.

How is it that the Democrats control the State house in Oklahoma?

I thought that was a conservative State!

I hope that the good people of Oklahoma are watching how Democrats stick together when they break the law and abuse their oaths of office!

More evidence of the myth of the heartland. When the federal building in okc was destroyed, all of the media talked about the attack in the heartland as if there were something special about the heartland, like maybe virtues and values. It's all a myth. ioway and miserori are part of the heartland and what do you get from there, hardkins and gebhurt? True paragons of virtue indeed, an anti-free market pork farm bill and election lies about burning churches. Notwithstanding the war article about where do you get kids like this, the heartland is a fiction as real as progress in the inner city.

There was a different article in The Oklahoman yesterday based on this article:

And here is the article about our stupid OK Legislature which is run by RATS:

Runaways spark discussion in Oklahoma Legislature

2003-05-14
By Jack Money
The Oklahoman

Good-natured banter about runaway Texas House Democrats turned serious Tuesday in Oklahoma’s House. Rep. Ron Kirby, D-Lawton, wanted the House to consider a resolution bestowing an honorary title of “Okie” on Texas House members holed up in Ardmore.

Oklahoma House members on both sides of the political aisle then introduced serious resolutions for consideration.

One, by Rep. Todd Piatt, R-Ardmore, directed Gov. Brad Henry, the director of the Public Safety Department and Oklahoma law enforcement officials to work with their Texas counterparts to return the errant legislators to their home state.

House members voted that down.

The second, by Rep. David Braddock, D-Altus, commended the absent Texas lawmakers for taking a stand for constituents.

Braddock’s resolution commended the absent lawmakers for acting out of concern for Texas families by opposing efforts by Republican House leadership to focus on congressional redistricting.

Piatt, sponsor of the first resolution, asked Braddock whether Oklahoma’s House should be commending its Texas counterparts for breaking the oath of office.

“I don’t think they are breaking their oath of office,” Braddock said. “I think they are ultimately fulfilling it by trying to meet the needs of those who have no voice at their Capitol.”

This resolution was approved by a simple majority of House members present.

Braddock’s resolution does not have the weight of law.

As for Kirby’s proposed resolution, which was never formally introduced, the measure would have granted the Texas House members political amnesty. “I was just trying to have a little fun,” he said.
