RALEIGH, N.C. -- As federal investigators close in on State Agriculture Commissioner Meg Scott Phipps' campaign scandal, Gov. Mike Easley believes the commissioner may be too badly damaged to do her job and he is asking for her resignation.
Easley had a telephone conversation with Phipps Tuesday and later wrote a letter, asking her to step down.

You've got to remember, Weasley is the former AG, and you KNOW if he's calling for her, a fellow dim, to step down he's checked the case out thoroughly and is very confident she's guilty.

So if she keeps refusing to resign, I guess we'll see some interesting ....stuff....hitting the fan.

That is the first thing I thought of when I saw the news this morning.
This is hugh!

Or he's already covered his nut so she can't implicate him in anything.

To be fair, I don't think he's the type. He has other faults. Plus, there are different "circles" within the NC dim party, and I don't think he belongs to the one she is part of.

Udderly preposterous situation for her, isn't it?

Where's the beef?
To: Overtaxed; Carolina
It would certainly be a misteak if she didn't resign.
To: Constitution Day; Overtaxed
NC citizens have been too charitabull towards her.

Maybe she could move up north and start growing grapes for a living. You know, find a nice bovineyard to tend.
