Not really that solid an argument. Tony Campolo has an impressive size following, and he was quite the Clinton apologist. The leader of a group seeking to remove all religious references from anything remotely associated with government is a former pastor. A lot can change in 18 years, and clergy tend to come from the emotional decision-making temperament(F on Meyers-Briggs). Many followers of Jesus, including religious leaders, were disappointed when he didn't enact their dreams in their ways, failing to set up an earthly kingdom. Perhaps Mr. Baldwin is expecting the wrong things from the wrong person.
Or consider another example. "Manna, manna, manna, all we have is manna. We are tired of manna. Why were we led into the wilderness to die? We are thirsty, why doesn't MosesBush strike the rock and give us water?"
