I really think that I was misunderstood. I was not complaining about my son's job, per say. He just had a small part time job. One of the reason he didn't try to get a better job was because he had been told he would be deployed. We just didn't know when. I was talking about the millions of illegals that are pouring in. This country can not absorb much more. As I said the $hit will hit the fan.
My reference to King George was really about King George and was not a reference to George Bush. I do not for one minute think that he considers hisself royalty.
As for as Bush's plan. I don't know if we will like it. Will you vote for him even though you don't agree with him? When I wrote him about my concerns on our borders I received a letter outlining how he was looking forward to working with our southern neighbors and how he was trying to get 245i passed. Our government is growing more and more each day. Are we giving up freedoms for security?
I wished that I had never gotten interested in politics. Then I could be like those people on TV when they ask them who the VP is. Duh!!!!
Good night all. I didn't realize it was this late. 5:30 comes very early. Have a good night.

I got the same response, and like you, I was disheartened. Clearly, policy makers, including George Bush, take lightly the popular sentiment (if the polls are accurate).
The illegals have numerous advocacy groups pulling for them, many of whom benefit financially by keeping them here. We have to be just as active in our opposition.
There is an e-mail newsletter published by the Emigration Party whose Web site is at:
http://www.sendemback.org The content is rich with illegal alien news from all over America. Don Pauly, the author, has committed himself to working at least 5 hours a day on sending back the illegals.
Also are you familiar with these groups:
Project U.S.A.
http://projectusa.org Federation for Immigration Reform
http://fairus.org I get their e-mail newsletter, which informs me of actions that need to be taken on various immigraiton issues wending their way through Congress. I then inform my friends and family, who send them on to their contacts.
These groups have been working diligently for years on immigration reform, long before I even knew a problem existed.
regards,
risa
