That don't mean Reagan did not screwed us all by keeping the DOE. He had the best chance.
The point is that one mistake can hurt for a long time.
Bush may be making like mistakes and I intend to scream about them.

I agree and never said you were.
Republican_Strategist says that I'm a liberal because I don't want to dump Bush because Bush is a liberal... Yes Bush has done things I strongly disagree with. But on many of the larger issues he's done very well. There's nothing wrong with resisting selected policy choices but when you can't get 100% what you want that doesn't mean it is all bad and the whole thing has to be aborted. Republinan_Strategist seems to think Bush can be a dictator and wave a magic wand and make abortion go away. He can't. You first have to change the hearts and minds of the people who do these things.
Much of what is in the original article are in fact untruths. For Republican_Strategist to claim such absolute purity and refusal to compromise on any of his principles then one can only conclude that his principles including baring false witness against others.
