BUSH BETRAYS PRO-LIFE CAUSE AGAIN, BACKS FEDERAL AID TO OVERSEAS ABORTION PROVIDERS

By Pastor Chuck Baldwin

May 1, 2003

NewsWithViews.com

Again and again, President G. W. Bush has betrayed the pro-life cause. The latest example is his push for $15 billion in U.S. tax dollars to be sent to Africa for A.I.D.S prevention.

According to British sources, "President George W. Bush dismissed a bid by conservative Christians to restrict his $15 billion foreign initiative to fight A.I.D.S. to only those programs that reject abortion and promote abstinence." In other words, Bush proposes to send federal dollars to those organizations that promote abortion and promiscuity.

The New York Times concurred with the British report by saying, "Ignoring objections from his conservative base, President Bush is to make a Rose Garden speech on Tuesday in support of a $15 billion bill to fight A.I.D.S. internationally that will direct some money to groups that promote abortion."

By choosing to fund pro-abortion groups, Bush is breaking his word to pro-lifers and is proving, once again, that he has no real convictions regarding the life issue.

Furthermore, Bush is a living, breathing example of the old adage, "The man who has a reputation of an early-riser can sleep 'till noon." Bush enjoys the reputation of a pro-life, pro-family president and, therefore, is able to repeatedly endorse pro-abortion and pro-homosexual proposals, and few people even notice.

Bush has done every bit as much to promote the homosexual agenda as Bill Clinton did, maybe more. He has done absolutely nothing of substance to promote the life issue. Just the opposite. He has routinely compromised and capitulated the life issue to the point that it is now laughable when anyone calls this president "pro-life."

Overall, the A.I.D.S. epidemic is behaviorally spread. It is mostly spread through promiscuous homosexual sex. Of course, it is also spread through promiscuous heterosexual sex and through germ- infected intravenous drug needles.

The vast percentage of A.I.D.S. victims are reaping the consequences of their own decadent lifestyles. Sadly, the fallout of this disease also impacts many children, hemophiliacs and others, who have become the innocent victims of other people's sins. No amount of tax dollars will solve that problem. Only a repentant heart and changed lifestyle will cure the escalating spread of A.I.D.S. And, by the way, this remedy requires no federal tax dollars!

Perhaps one day conservative Christians will wake up to the fact that Mr. Bush seldom represents them and will decide to put their combined support and influence behind a principled conservative who will be faithful to the immutable laws upon which this nation was founded. Perhaps.

....but just to be sure that we are on the same page, is this the same fellow who was wondering if Bush shared many characteristics with the anti-Christ?

Isn't this the nutball who wrote a (completely non-satirical, at least in intent) piece entitled "Is Bush the Antichrist?"

He's a crybaby whose basic message is "If I don't get 101% of everything I demand politically I will abandon you with venomous castigation, and I don't care what the political realities are, I don't care that my ideas may be unelectable in a particular locale, I'd rather be a purist whining from President Hillary's future gulag than sully myself by aligning or cooperating by any heathen infidel less-than-a-perfect-Christian-social-conservative."

The guy only knows how to fracture, moan, and lose.

>>NAFTA and GATT came into existence early in the Clinton administration. Bush continues those polices and even wants to expand them. <<

This is one area where I disagree wholeheartedly with the president. I would hate to integrate our economy into the thirdd world economies of Latin and South America.

The rest of the stuff is silly--if the author really believes the items he's listed are comparable to the criminal behavior that characterized the Clinton administration, he's got some kind of delusional disorder. We are a country of 350 million people with competing agendas. The President has to maneuver carefully through numerous political minefields daily. I think he's doing a great job.

In fact, one would be extremely hard-pressed to find any Clinton policy that Bush has reversed! I can't think of a single one.

One shouldn't be that hard pressed. His first act as president was to reverse Clinton's reversal of President Reagan's Mexico City Policy. That was on the Monday after President Bush was inaugurated. Pay attention!

George W. Bush has made America proud again. Parents no longer have to be embarrassed to point out the White House to their children.

Clinton-loving poseurs like you are so transparent it's funny. Pop over from Scumbag Underground didja?

By the way, you forgot to post that you will "never vote for Bush again", LOFL.

It's not so much President Bush as it is his political advisors taking the American people's temperature with polls and focus groups. Spending too much time breathing Washington's rarefied air can make any man's moral compass spin. The good news is that reinforcements from Heaven are about to come on the scene, and help President Bush fulfill his vision of restoring America to the "city set on a hill".

"Blunders" occur when dumb things are done inadvertantly.

The so-called Bush blunders happen on purpose and with pre-meditation.

Why don't you get on the "Dungphone" with Chuck and tell him to grow a couple marbles and COME INTO THIS FORUM himself and be answerable to his evolving dementia.

It's a bad trip on a web-site you are republishing here, not some legitimate news source.

If Charlie Baldwin wants to tangle, tell him to come to FR and post this stuff as a vanity commentary and hang around to field our inquiries.

He smells like wet doghair.

What's amazing to me is [last time I looked] we have a Republican Senate, House, Supreme Court, and public. And the Dems are still having an effect on nominations and tax cuts. What gives?

The foibles and follies of this administration are too numerous to count. With the exception of Monica Lewinsky, they rival anything in the previous administration. Of course, most neocons refuse to notice. Therefore, this column will also be ignored.

Since you went to the "neocon" word in your first paragraph, you're absolutely right. This column will be ignored.

In states where Demo-Socialists reign, like Illinois and California, a RINO is better than a Democrat. At least they add to your majorities. Snowe and Chaffee et al are even supporting W's judges.

If you put a staunch Conservative up in that contest, you get a Democrat. The pick of Edgar is a concession to reality...something idealists rarely accomplish.

Bush is likely to invoke Executive Privilege in order to continue the cover-up about what he and other top government leaders knew prior to the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.

Up until this point the author had some valid points. Not that all would agree with him, but some things to be considered nonetheless. At the point he starts speaking about the 'cover-up' we see the tin-foil peeking out under his hat.

I didn't even go past the first page, because I can predict what you bushbots are going to say. Mix and match:

1. It's part of a grand strategy that us Cretins don't understand to achieve our goals by embracing the ideals of our intellectual enemies.

2. Do you think a Democrat would be any better?

3. Bush is a great politician and he's pulling the wool over their eyes by taking away their issues.

4. We're too literal, relying on stupid things like the constitution, and too rigid in our beliefs. This is how Bush is going to win. Really.

Did I get the standard Bushbot mantras right?
