Iran is stuck between Iraq and a hard place

Jolted by the swift collapse of Saddam Hussein's regime in Iraq, the hardline clerics who rule Iran have been cracking down on dissent at home and talking discreetly to US diplomats abroad in an effort to stave off American pressure.

That would be a smart move for the clerics to shut the heck up

Especially this Ayatollah Hakim who recently returned to Iraq. I hope and I know the U.S. is keeping an eye on him. He thinks hes an Iraqi Slick Willie. I heard a few minutes ago on CNN that some of his followers are being bussed in to Baghdad to his rallys. Supposedly he has 10,000 or so in his reported army (Batter(sp) Brigade) itching to be the next Iraqi military.

Syrians Worry About Their Baath Party

BEIRUT, Lebanon - Despite three decades of hostility between the rival Baath parties of Syria and Iraq (news - web sites), the Syrian Baathists are watching with concern how the party that ruled neighboring Iraq under Saddam Hussein has been crushed and dissolved by the U.S. forces in Iraq.

"This is illegal. In principle and according to international law, an occupation force does not have the right to dissolve a country's political organizations," said Mehdi Dakhlallah, editor-in-chief of the Syrian state-run Baath newspaper and a member of Syria's ruling Baath party.

'Just ain't gonna happen' is exactly how I feel.

I kept hearing Clinton say 'we'll get them and bring them to justice' - and it never happened.

President Bush says that (along with his supporters), and I believe him.

Thank goodness for that.

That's because Bush means what he says

Clinton just said it to by time and hope that the news would change to something different

Clinton is a WIMP ... Bush is a LEADER
