Ordinarily, it is difficult to get through for a while, since everyone calls starting at 9:00 pm. Tonight, there was no dial tone in parts of the Raleigh, NC area. Well after 60 minutes, there is a "quick busy", meaning the telephone system is not working correctly. I continually received busy signals even after only dialing the '1'. How can the voting be tabulated fairly if people in the home city of Clay Aiken can't even cast their votes??

If South Dakota RATS can rig voting, I'm sure Fox can too.
To: mystery-ak

Too fast.

JimVT: How can the voting be fair if everybody votes for the hometown favorite? discostu: Not every hometown has a contestant.
I don't know why that exchange cracks me up but it does.
To: discostu

What?
FReepers are not supposed to enjoy talented young singers?
I bet you that a whole lot of FReepers can recognize this talented young singer...

If the voting were truly honest, I could send a Dial-a-Kick-In-The-Butt to Simon Cowles. What a tool.

I was aiming for a non-insulting punchline, now we'll have to see Jim's reaction to see if I achieved both parts.

Ok...I'll check it out if it's still on next week.
I read your interesting autobiography.
You are only the second human being I am aware of (my wife being the first) who actually drinks Dr. Pepper.
And she, though otherwise a perfect saint of a woman and the love of my life...drinks it out of the CAN!

I hated whoever sang "Mack the Knife".
That's a rat pack styled song. I was apathetic till that point.

Sounds like that Seinfeld episode when Kramer's number was so close to the number for MovieFone!
"Why don't you just TELL me the movie you wanted to see?"
--Sorry, still going through no more Seinfeld episode withdrawals at our house ;-)

Clay Aiken belongs off broadway. Before he goes there, he should be convicted of murdering Mac the Knife by the way.
Kim and Ruben in the final, Ruben your next American idol.
