Yeah, well, the way some of us sound, if Dubya doesn't dance in lock step with us through the entire four years, we're going to make sure we let Hillary or LIEberman or Kerry or some other traitorous b*stard have the reins for the next four years.

Yeah, that'll teach 'em.</sarcasm>

with more than half of convicted gun criminals getting more than five years in prison.

Anyone who commits a federal crime with a gun should get at least five years.

Yeah more filibusters. I'm starting to like these guys, they're doing more to destroy liberalism than we've done in the last 30 years.

Yeah...what you said. When I read the headline, I got angry, but then after reflecting, I LOL!...Keep it up dems. You need an extra shovel?

That's how the NRA boys seem to be singing if W dares allow the anti-assault weapon to pass.

There are apparently 2 or 3 different methods the Republicans could use to circumvent the filibustering--but they won't, because that would take cajones--which they apparently don't have

Come on gang. Haven't you figured ut out that this is the ol' "Potomac two-step", "the good-guy, bad-guy". The "Two-Party Cartel" fool"in ya all the while promoting the goals of the elites that have bought them off. If you were to vote outside of the cartel then you would get attention but as long as you go with the status-quo you are screwed. Look at the RINO Pennsylvania senator who has changed his tune since Toomey is running, Same principle.

Filibusters are made to order for the demonrats; they absolutely excel at jawboning. By the way, the demonrats have a new bumpersticker slogan: "Thou shalt not steal...that's the government's job".

They are searching for a new name...

Well, now that the Iraq campaign is over, the term "Blixiecrats" no longer applies. How about--

In Texas, they are the Hideycrats
The Daschle supporters are the TinyCrats
The Santorum haters are the Fudgicrats

The overall theme of Democratic strategy post-2002 is that of a party that refuses to accept the democratic process that has placed them in the minority, and so is willing to obstruct anything and everything with which they disagree in an insurgency. They are not loyal opposition, they are traitorous rebels. Who does that remind you of? Right, the French. They have become Chiracrats.

Naw, that's the "No Compromise," "What Part of Shall Not Be Infringed don't you understand," GOA-type, crew. The NRA has some political savvy...

That's true. But wait, wasn't there a post about the NRA being very unhappy with W if he signs this. In the article they talked about how close and friendly W and the NRA were and this was the first potential rift.

Washington "has a rich and sordid history of special interest sleaze," said Sen. Dick Durbin, D-Ill. "The gun industry bill merely retires the trophy. This is as bad as it gets."

What's the matter Durbin, are you afraid that your lawyer lobby friends won't have any money to donate to the DNC??

Sorry, but all these stupid law suits are what's bad

Before this, I was against the 24x7 filibuster mindset. But since it looks like the democrats are going to do this at every turn, there's no need for the gentlemen's agreement on filibuster. Nothing is going to get done anyway..

Sign me up for the 24x7 mindset. Where's the phonebooks?
