[history]
Male bashing -- the stereotyping of men as brutal, stupid or otherwise objectionable -- is commonplace. Our sons, husbands, fathers and men-friends are gleefully slandered because they are male. They are subjected to malicious jokes and attitudes that would be decried if directed at blacks, Hispanics or women. The assault against men must stop. But how?

my wife and I were in Roswell 6 months ago and it looked like good hunting to us.I thought you were talking 'bout Roswell, NM (until I went back thru the thread and realized it was GA).

But after twenty or thirty years of being married to the average woman, he's ten times more likely to feel that dying early is not a problem. Yes, there are many times when one takes real comfort in the certainty he won't live forever.

I've come up with a way to cut through all that crap. I found a woman I didn't like and bought her a house. It sure beat giving away everything I have every five years.

What can I say? I was young, in college, and my mind was so open that all my brains fell out. 1.0 got everything she wanted from me and then hired a vampire attorney. After that, she went on to fulfill her destiny as a militant feminist Democrat, government employee, and union member.
I often think that there are a lot of parallels between a Democratic politician and a harpy ex-wife with a good lawyer. Both seem to believe that their wanting to spend more money is sufficient cause to compel you to provide more, and both have no qualms about using the full force and implicit violence of the law to force you to produce more, regardless of the effect on your life. In return, both reciprocate by giving you angry, confused, depressed, and poorly educated children, and a lifelong distrust of doing well for fear that it will only end up costing you in some painful way that you have not yet anticipated.
As for your comment: don't give up on American women yet. But Eric, you're never going to find a sane one in California.

After reading this article I am reminded of a wonderful piece I read a year ago. I believe it appeared on WorldNetDaily too. I showed it to a (liberal) feminist that I occasionally lock horns with online, and although it didn't seem to affect her quite as much, I found it rather moving. I expect it must certainly have been posted here before, as it is a gem, but I present the link again for the benefit of any who may not have read it before :

2. White men are to blame for this problem. Almost half of white male voters still vote democrat, and half of white males overall dont even vote. Not down here. Southern white male voting patterns are all that keep us all from careening into the abyss.

As young adults, male students on American campuses are outnumbered by females by a ratio of four to three, with males receiving only 43 percent of all college degrees.
Wish that had been true when I was in school.

"For example, Progressive Insurance ran a notorious ad in which an angry woman punished her ex through a voodoo doll, including the use of pliers on its genitals."
I thought this ad was pretty funny. After all, the fictional guy character was out cheating on his girlfriend at the moment she was 'torturing' him via the voodoo web site.
If the roles had been reversed (jilted boyfriend, cheating girlfriend) it still would have been funny.

After reading through this thread, it seems pretty clear that the bashing goes both ways.

The culture that thinks nothing of the persistent assaults against men have gone too far. The pendulum must correct soon, otherwise, men going to have to start a male liberation movement like the one the women went through in the fifties.
If guys to react to the attacks with letters to the editors, and to the advertisers, then they will deserve what they get.

reminds me of the old joke:
Q: Why do most men die before their wives?
A: Because they want to.

Speaking as a straight, white, conservative, SUV-driving, gun-owning NRA-member, male from the South, i.e., the most reviled of all creatures in the known universe, I say go ahead and bash males all you want. We are 'man' enough to take it without whining about being VICTIMS.

This is one of the reasons why, as a young white man, I don't think I am going to live to see 40. Steps to prevent this:
Invest in a concealable LARGE calibre handgun. At the very least you take an honor guard with you to hell or heaven.

Good point . Speaking for myself frankly their is not that much free time in my day to worry and coddle every single issue someone may have with me as a man or as a person .
Hell .. From where I am in my mind It would benefit people if they took the focus off of themselves and associated up ! Special interest groups merely serve themselves & divide the rest of us .
