Quite the juggernaut we are becoming here on FR! Seems that the national media has started watching..(even if they were lurking all along and won't write about it)

The site also urges boycotts of all Disney products, including Disney World and even ABC.

What do they mean, "even"?

"A source close to Mirimax says the company is undaunted, 'We have weathered storms like this before.'"

So Miramax's past 'documentaries' have been fantasies as well? Then this Moore 'expose' should be right up their alley.

On Instapundit an intriguing point has been raised. Is Fahrenheit 911 in danger of violating McCain-Feingold, especially if, as seems likely, it's targeted to be released at the height of the campaign in '04?

Disney fractures fairy tales and massacres history. Most of their stuff is frankly, garbage (wildly popular garbage is still garbage).

Some of the original movies were good, but that's it.

Their animation on "historical" drama of American culture is just more liberal lies. Pocahontas is a good example. Some of the lyrics of the songs are extremely anti-white and anti-American and the entire message of the movies is Indians=good, white guys=bad, and the landscape has nothing to do with reality because Virginia in the area that was depicted is largely flat swampland.

We ought to press Eisner and Miramax to endorse gay values openly -- let's get their politics square on the table.

More Good News as there were rumors Mel Gibson's IKON Productions was going to be involved!! Now we need to get to Disney!

From www.newsmax.com :

1. Moore-less Mel Gibson

A conservative chorus rang out across the land. "Say it ain't so, Mel!" was the right thinker's reaction when the story broke that Gibson's Icon Productions was going to be involved with Michael Moore's flimflam foray "Fahrenheit 911."

Moore probably hopes to fill movie screens with a bunch of Bush-bashing baloney just in time for the presidential campaign of 2004.

But now, according to Variety, word has it that Gibson's pulled the plug on Icon's financial involvement with the pseudo-documentary maker's latest project.

So, where does a lefty go to get money? The same places liberal Democrat candidates go - to Harvey Weinstein's and Miramax's front doors.

Miramax will supposedly give Moore "bridge" financing and use a French firm, The Wild Bunch, for distribution.

Rumors are flying about why Mel booted Moore out the door. Could be that he got some helpful tips from LCR readers via e-mails and letters.

The Left Coast Report thinks that Mel's working with Moore would've been the biggest mismatch since "60 Minutes" paired up Clinton and Dole.

In yesterdays Philadelphia Inquirer:

Moore Movie Deal

Bowling for Columbine director Michael Moore, who called President Bush a "fictitious president" in his controversial Oscar acceptance speech, has landed a deal with with Walt Disney's Miramax Films to make a movie that is likely to generate even more heat for the documentary filmmaker.

Fahrenheit 911-- the title marries the date of the hijackings to the title of Ray Bradbury's dystopian novel Fahrenheit 451--will look at alleged links between the families of Bush and Osama bin Laden, the Islamic militant accused of coordinating the Sept 11 hijackings.

Miramax took over after Mel Gibson's withdrew backing for the production. Miramax will provide a few million dollars in temporary "bridge" funding, which offers the studio less risk than longer term financing.

But some groups are already up in arms about the deal. Conservative Web site (www.freerepublic.com) calls the project an "attack film on Bush" and urges boycotts of all Disney products. A source close to Miramax says the company is undaunted by the threat.

Free Republic bold and blue mine.
