How about the fall of the House of Saud followed by an Islamic theocracy in Arabia with nuclear ambitions?
Call me when a Taliban-like Army has managed to do battle with the Saudi Arabian Army, or when the Saudi police can't prevent violent anti-Royal protests in Riyadh. Until then, all these events will do is to pump up the adrenaline levels in those bored, frustrated members of our global society...those members of society who believe every piece of "hype" that makes it into the news, and those who frighten at the first sound of combat (sort of like the house dog that cowers when she hears the starting gun for a marathon race).
There are really just two choices here: either the terrorists were going after Westerners with the timing set for the Bali trial and Powell's visit, or else the terrorists were going after the House of Saud by bombing some foreign civilians on the fringes of Arabia.
Both possibilities demonstrate enormous weakness, as the attack clearly didn't hit an important Saud target, nor was it even on the right side of the planet for the Bali trial.
Thus, al-qaeda demonstrates that it either can't choose or attack meaningful targets, or that it can't project its force onto the right side of the world.
Gee, let's panic and get all hyped up about that! Not.
Or hey, I know; let's act like the total Bozo who I saw on Fox News this morning, who BLAMED BUSH for the attacks in Saudi Arabia! Oh yeah, that's the ticket! < /MOCKING! >
