At times, [during the Iraq War] Ms. Banfield sounded like she was Press Secretary for Saddam Hussein and Hezbollah .
Still, she could be a big news star someday. She is sexy and attractive, articulate and smart. And the press loved her.
But now she is being sent to Coventry for opening her cute little mouth.
This was amazing. Why was NBC News President himself bothering to squelch this little pipsqueak when she squeaked in Kansas?
They are so upset with Banfield at 30 Rockefeller Center that insiders are saying that her career is finished at NBC, if not elsewhere.

Why was NBC News President himself bothering to squelch this little pipsqueak when she squeaked in Kansas?Gosh, it just might have something to do with the fact that Banfield was belittling the role of embedded reporters, after the network had just tragically lost a well-liked embedded reporter -- not to mention that after the Arnett fiasco, pro-Saddam Ashley should have had the sense to assume a low profile.
Timing is everything in life.

"The thought of spanking Ms. Banfield in the "woodshed"" . . .
Sign me up for that as well. It is my firm belief Ms. Banfield just needs to spend some time in the company of a conservative male to set her straight.

Maybe executives of the newsmedia are getting the message that the American people are tired of being barraged with endless "Liberal" propaganda. Not only is it mindnumbingly boring; it is also dangerously misleading.
The Nazis, the Ku Klux Klan, the mafia can say whatever they want, but would you want them "reporting" the "news"?
What about anti-Americans, socialists, and communists...oops!...they do "report" the "news"! That's the problem, isn't it!
Wake up, Martin... On second thought...go back to sleep.

MSNBC is trying to tack right. Ashley doesn't help with this new tack.

What else should we expect . . . Ashley-babe graduated from the Petah Jennings School of Canadian Broadcasting whose motto is . . .
"When the facts tarnish liberals, never, ever report the story . . . When the facts buttress conservatives, talk softly and quickly in verbal short-hand and maybe no one will hear . . . When in doubt on ANY negative story, it's the damn conservative's fault and open and close every damn show with the stories to a backdrop of blaring trumpets and flashing graphics. All is right with the world . . . us liberal and omnipotent Canadians are in charge."
