More power to them. Perhaps they'll take a decade-long vacation.

No one's Life, Liberty, or Property is safe while the legislation is in session.

This isn't going to play well in Texas. This sounds far too much like Tommy Daschle or Terry McAuliffe.

Gotta be a way to turn this back on these POS polidiots before election day. We have to get a list of NAMES. Names of the 51 that walked out on their jobs they were elected to do. Individual lawsuit from a citizen maybe ? They weren't sick, ....just lame and lazy. These sh*t & shineola socialists have done something that will get anyone else fired from their job. Why not them......?

Vote , VOte,VOTe, VOTE !!............Stay Safe !

I wonder if things would have turned out differently for the original KBs if the Web (and the activism it enables) had been around when they pulled their little stunt.

This is all about redistricting.

At this point, I think Perry should call a special session and when they show up, lock them in the capitol.

"We're leaving, and we'll stay gone till Thursday," one member from South Texas said Sunday evening. He asked that he not be identified.

Names. We want NAMES. Let the Pubbies get up on the floor and READ OFF THE LIST OF NAMES OF ALL MEMBERS WHO ARE NOT PRESENT!!

I saw this article in the E-N this morning and became extremely irate. Can't we fire the legislators or something? I hope they all lose their elections.

MD, mis-represented by Joaquin Castro...

BRAVO!

Now every FReeper should check to see if their district representative was one of the offending members. If so, fire off a letter to their editor, call talk radio, put a sign on their car and/or on their lawn so their neighbors will know too.

IMHO, THIS is why FR exists....

I think the mayor of Dallas would be very interested to know where her husband is at (Steve Wolens).

If Laura Miller were a Republican, the media would be camped out on her front doorstep. Since she's a Democrat, there's obviously no story here.

I (don't) wonder how Ms. Miller would react if the City Council members reacted the same way, and a quorum was never reached at her meetings.

I say that Texas (with help of other FReepers) conduct their own "Rat hunt" to out these Texas Rats to the media and DPS or appropriate law enforcement officers.

They can run, but they can't hide from the long arm of FReepers.

If their location is make public it defeats their plan. We don't need to find all of them, just enough to make a quarum of 100 (approx 20 of the Rats.)

Someone can even make up a "most wanted" poster to show FReepers and the public what these perps look like.

So what kind of bait should we use to catch these 'RATS ???

A searchlight of public attention should be sufficient. The DPS troopers can take it from there.

I just e-mailed Dan Patrick of KSEV Radio in Houston about this. Maybe he will jump on it and talk about it this week on his show. He has been at the forefront of getting support for property tax relief legislation, and is very involved in everything that is going on in Austin and any potential impact on Texas taxpayers. Fortunately I myself live in a very conservative district with a Republican rep., Rob Eissler (The Woodlands). Thanks for the heads up on this, you guys!

My Rep. isn't on there (Jon Lindsay, a good conservative), but I'm sending a letter to the Houston Chronic-ill's Viewpoints page about this anyway. For what it's worth.

This is sickening.
