they should quit reporting this stuff, and just tell us when they find it. This will be good enough for 5 Fox News Alerts

This must be some diabolical plot on the part of the Bush administration to drive the media mad.

Is this three additional or is this now at a grand total of three!
A few more of these specialized mobile labs should convince all but the truly hard headed that Saddam had an offensive WMD capability.
They likely dumped whatever stock they had before we got to many of these locations.
Bush and Blair clearly did the right thing , to take out the regime!

After carefully examining this equipment, it is clear that the Bush administration is mistaken in claiming these trailers were designed as bioweapons labs.
Obviously, this is an 18-wheeler version of a "baby milk factory"...

It surely would be nice to find the actual weapons instead of the factories that produced them.
There's little doubt that the Iraqis either hid them or destroyed them, but evidence of that can and should be found as well.
What really torques me, though, is the Russian position on this. They don't want to lift sanctions against Iraq until the UN weapon inspectors certify that there are no WMD, but they opposed the war because there was no proof of WMD. Which is it?

Suspected bioweapons labs found Coalition forces test trailers in northern Iraq
May 11 -- Military teams searching for evidence of biological and chemical weapons find three suspected mobile biological weapons labs in northern Iraq. NBC News reports.
NBC, MSNBC AND NEWS SERVICES
May 11 Military teams searching for biological and chemical weapons in Iraq found three trailers believed to be mobile biological weapons laboratories capable of producing deadly germs for weapons, NBC News reported.
THE TEAMS found the trailers at a bombed-out rocket and missile factory near Mosul in northern Iraq. One of the trailers was missing its CANVAS COVER, wheels and plumbing most likely taken by looters but the essential parts, including a compressor and dryer needed to produce weapons grade anthrax, were intact.
I managed to get through the mobile in "mobile biological weapons labs". Where I lost all interest was "the canvas cover" and "weapons grade anthrax" together in the same sentence.

Based on what I've read, one of these bioweapons labs would make a kick-ass homebrew rig! Now to pick a recipe...

It surely would be nice to find the actual weapons instead of the factories that produced them.My guess is that the biological agents have already been delivered into the hands of terrorists to do their dirty work. I hope I'm wrong but I just have a nervous feeling that the reason we're not finding this stuff is that it has already been placed into the hands of the people who will ultimately use it, probably against us.

Even it's destruction would leave evidence--I can't see how fire does away with radiation and you can't just burn chemicals to hide them since it leaves a residue.

That's right. Someone in Iraq knows where they are or where they went.
And it's not conceivable that they didn't have them. Iraq went to extraordinary lengths to frustrate UN inspectors instead of rushing to provide evidence of the destruction of these weapons.

Yes, yes. Same thing with SARS. Let us know when they find a cure. Better yet, we'll read about it on our own.
