WASHINGTON -- Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, D-N.Y., in her new role as member of the Armed Services committee, wants an unmanned helicopter manufactured partly in New York to become a new weapon in the U.S. military's arsenal.

Clinton has been pushing for money for the Fire Scout, a high-tech helicopter produced by Northrop Grumman Corp., with the main component made by Schweizer Aircraft Corp. in Elmira.

Clinton pushes for unmanned helicopter program

In her capacity as a founding member of the NAGS, I can see why she'd want the pilots to be only women.

Rummy will probably smack this one down. It's just pork for her re-election in 06, the money would be better spent on the space weapons program.

A helicopter-like platform could hover, unlike drones. It could loiter without circling. Don't knock the concept just because Hillary! wants it.

But wouldn't ya know she'd go for something unmanned?

Coudn't resist.

You have to think like this bitch to understand her motives..

She NEEDS an unmanned weapons system -- so that she can order hits that any sane officer would refuse and there are NO WITNESSES....

She is building the perfect Democrat assassination tool...for HER use...

< /sarcasm> but only slightly..

Good Morning sir!

Our boys do just fine in manned choppers. We don't unmanned copters out there.

Drones are great for recon, and test flights, but I feel better when we've got a pilot at the controls.

Flew with some outstanding chopper pilots when I was in the Air Force. Don't want to put these boys out of business.

And how in the hell did Hellary get on this committee? Her contempt for the military is well known.

Semper fi!
