After saying how glad he was that Dick Cheney was going to continue on as Vice President in a second Bush administration, Dennis commented on Dick Cheney's heart problems saying "The only person whose heart skips more beats is Richard Simmons, on his way to an 'N Sync' concert".

I almost fell out of my chair laughing at that.

Also liked his description of Cheney touring the country with The Angina Monologues!
And that Byrd is a MORON akin to your crazy uncle who mouths off at Thanksgiving dinner!

Still don't trust him, but he IS scoring some points. Liked him blasting Byrd on another thread.
At the very least he's becoming a master of his craft.

I don't trust him either, but that he can so successfully praise the conservative side just for air time and money speaks volumns

I used to hate Dennis but I think he's finally come over from the dark side. It's great seeing him use his acerbic wit to ridicule those who truely deserve it.

Arguementatively, the guy is catquick on his feet, and nothing drives the Dems crazy as when someone makes them a laughingstock.

Nope, the guy is genuine. I was sceptical at first but I've seen him nail it too many times. He's the real deal.

I wouldn't call it hate, but Miller really made me uncomfortable. Humor is based in fact, and Miller has never excluded facts from his routines. Even when he was slamming Reagan, he was picking on true things (nobody's perfect) like his conservatism, his past as an actor and his plactic hair. However, I felt really bad laughing at his jokes because he really is funny.
I don't mind it so much now, because he's doing it with LOVE. ;)

I think Dennis is a recent convert and that is one of the reasons his jokes are so acid. It's his way of paying back the losers with whom he used to run.
I've always thought he was one of the best comics and have laughed at him for years, even when he was hammering conservatives.
To: DCBurgess58
Another funny thing he said was something about Iraq and Al Qaeda having each other on "terrorist speed dial".
To: DCBurgess58
do you think he'd still be on monday nite football....if he had gotten his mind "right" first?
To: DCBurgess58
I used to hate him too. But I think he's sincere. He admits he was a liberal demorat, but he woke up and saw the light, and defines himself as more conservative later in life (49 years old). I'm sure he is still a registered demorat, but years ago, more demorats were like him, than they are now.
I'll give him the benefit of the doubt that he is series (for now at least). I'm leaving open the right to change my opinion at any point in time.......

Millers character.I don't know about the political mood of the country making too much of a shift. We were always here, people are just listening louder now.
