Actually the PGA tour has held tournaments when the temperature was well above 100. In much more humid places than AZ. But what do you know, right?
Stay in the shade whenever possible drink plenty of fluids, and use a personal cooling device like a mister. It is not preferrable to play in the high heat, but it is very doable. And certainly better than loafing your fat ass around a pool all day. I know. That's why I had the good sense to move away from Arizona. The place was chock full of idiots like you.

Prove it.
Dude you're so full of crap. The more you act like 120 is no big thing (something that thankfully doesn't even happen very often except in Yuma and parts of Phoenix, actually it's never happened in Tucson 117 is our top) the more clear it becomes you've NEVER lived in the desert and probably haven't even experienced 100 degrees. Simply walking around in 120 is not "very doable", you're LYING again.

This would be a good point if the first two rounds of every other tournament, with the exception of the BC open (which chooses not to be televised) and maybe one or two more was covered live on USA or ESPN or the like. If this were really as big as you jokers are trying to make it out to be, CBS would be prememting its network TV. They are not. Yet, CBS is putting the weekend rounds on network TV. Without Vijay, without Els, without Tiger, without Love, and without, presumably, Sorenstam. Why is that? Because nobody watches? Nope. Because the sponsors are looking to reach a specific target audience that will watch. But one that will watch in slightly smaller numbers because the quality of the field has been diminished. Tiger takes a lot of tournaments off. The others do not. I have no way of knowing this, but there is a good chance that Love and Els stayed away for the same reason. Certainly the idea of playing in a Tiger-less tournament (therefore one they have a better chance of winning) should appeal to them, no? Vijay dropped out specifically because of the controversy. For Els and Love, if nothing else, it factored into their decision. And before you go salivating at the chance to post ratings numbers (I'm sure the liberal sports press will not miss this chance - 15 women showed up to protest Augusta and the acted like she was the second comin of Susan B. Anthony). It is supposed to rain up and down the East Coast this holiday weekend. A lot of people will be watching because they have nothing better to do.

Lived in the Foothills. Got the L'il Abner's T-shirt to prove it. Again, this does not make you a liar. Just stupid.

The "Foothills" of where? It's a big state, many of the cities border on mountains and have foothills.
It does make you a liar.

What you seem to be missing is that the sponsor was already looking at a Tigerless tournament, so anyting they did to increase visibility is a plus. No doubt they accomplished that.

You must be retarded. Sorenstam is not going to be playing this weekend. Non-golf fans will not tune in to see the money rounds of a tournament she is no longer playing in. She is irrelevant. Tiger did not play last year, and he won't play this year. But the weather is going to be terrible, leaving a lot more people indoors. The numbers may very well be slightly up. The liberal media will jump on this, but it will have nothing to do with Sorenstam. She won't be playing, those watching will be golf fans, not feminists, and they would have watched a Senior Tour event on a rainy day anyway. Even if Nancy Lopez weren't invited.

Known as the 'Rockefeller' drug laws, they were enacted in 1973 when Nelson Rockefeller, a Republican, was governor. In general, the laws require judges to impose a sentence of 15 years to life in prison for anyone convicted of selling two ounces, or possessing four ounces, of an illegal narcotic such as cocaine or heroin.Look, I'm anti-WoD, okay? I believe in rehab and recovery, not jails and prisons.
But lets get one thing perfectly straight here: 2 ounces of cocaine or heroin is not a small amount.
Dealers are really crappy people, in general. Usually, if it wasn't for this crime, they'd be gainfully employed in another felonious profession.
I'm not entirely sure I'm against harsh laws for these amounts, possession or sales.

Oh, and BTW:
Also, prisons are a boon to many local economies across the state and a repeal of the law would mean fewer prisons. This is absolutely true. The prison economy does exist, and a system of labor to produce cheap goods has been put in place which benefits certain manufacturers.
We really have no right to criticize China when we call them out on their 'slave labor camps'. We've got pretty much the same thing. The only difference is magnitude.

Holy feces. The namecalling on this SBR forum is so thick, I would have sworn I accidently stumbled on to Liberty Post.

Uh sorry guys, this is a 2 year old thread and "Wavethatflag" is, sadly, no longer around. However, I you really want to talk to him, scan the thread and you'll see who to talk to. ;-)
My apologies again for resurrecting an old thread, I should have freepmailed it.
