I don't know about that. There are a lot of conservative homosexuals, I've read in journals I trust (NR for one).

If the voter votes for the candidate on the basis of the fact that the candidate's daughter is gay, then the voter isn't conservative. Conservatives vote on issues-- they don't play "identity politics."

You are far more wrong than you realize. Homosexuality is an ABOMINATION before God. Wasn't it Jesus who said "Who hath the worst sin?" You cannot get AIDS from speeding, or running a stop sign. My ex-fiance is lesbian and I can tell you without a doubt, that this lifestyle is authored by the Devil himself. But to feign ignorance like what you seem to be proposing is lunacy. The Archangel Michael didn't when he was contending with Satan on who owned the body of Moses. I'm not suggesting that we go and bash them on the head with spiked clubs, but to think that the consequences of such isn't death is lunacy. If we want to discuss sin here, pre-marital sex, extra marital sex, lying, stealing, using God's name in vain, holding anything more dear to yourself than GOD, cheating, running stop sign, running stop light, speeding, all are sins. No one is perfect. Being gay is no more sinful than having sex before marriage, or getting a divorce and then remarried. That is a sin, too. Many things are sins, many things that we just accept these days. Gays are not doing any thing any more sinful than a lot of heteros do.

I was pointing out that your argument was flawed: these people are either political homosexuals or they are conservative. Anniegetyourgun was right.

Neither Anniegetyourgun nor you is correct. Again, as is common on this board, the false dichotomy rises again. You are saying that someone is a "political homosexual or they are conservative". That is ludicrous in the extreme. At least at this time. But people like you will eventually forced the total polarization of it and make it so.

I absolutely did not make that argument. I do not believe it. I made the argument that a lot of GOP voters who are homosexual would NOT be swayed by her being a lesbian. Read what I said more carefully and don't put words in my mouth.
