Gephardt's Lesbian Daughter Comes Out for 2004 Campaign [Will be out front lobbying for votes]
Roll Call and The Advocate ^ | May 9, 2003 | staff reporter

Dick Gephardt's daughter Chrissy is preparing to campaign for her fathers bid for the Democratic Presidential nomination in a way no daughter has before-as an out and vocal member of the gay and lesbian community.

According to the Capitol Hill newspaper Roll Call, Chrissy will be agressive in helping her father, the former House Minority leader, solicit gay and lesbian votes.

Vice President Dick Cheney's daughter is also lesbian, but she has never spoken publicly about her sexual orientation since her father joined George W. Bush's ticket in 2000 or since her father has been in office.

Chrissy Gephardt is not hiding the fact that she is a lesbian. An April 26 Boston Globe story about civil unions reports that Dick Gephardt 'has a daughter who is gay, a fact that his campaign neither conceal nor trumpet.'

And to that point, Gephardt's campaign website says that Chrissy lives with her partner Amy, in Washington DC were she works with female survivors of trauma at a mental health agency.

Deuteronomy 22:22 - If a man be found lying with a woman married to an husband, then they shall both of them die, both the man that lay with the woman, and the woman: so shalt thou put away evil from Israel

So when do we start stoning the adulterers instead of electing to leadership posts in our party?

You need to start with a high profile adulterer case to make an example. Lucky for us the highest profile one to date is in the dems... ;)

How about Newt Gingrich or Bob Livingston?

Bob who?

How soon you forget, Bob Livingston from Louisiana. Was supposed to be Speaker of the House instead of Hastert.

Sorry. You have to start with bubba.

You start with Clinton. I have no interest at all in who the Democrats choose for leaders.

These are votes R's aren't likely to get anyway.

To tell you the truth, there are many gays out there who get annoyed at the cheering of necrotic and proto_necrophiliac behaviors of the "coming out" gay crowd. Whether one is gay or not, one does not like to be reminded of certain realities and prefer to keep them as private accademic endeavors.

I find this move by his daughter pretty disgusting and Dick will suffer from it.

"So when do we start stoning the adulterers instead of electing to leadership posts in our party?"

Oh really, so who is the leading leader today that is a continuing adulterer. Repentence is what is required and commit the sin no more. The list is long of those former leaders who are no longer our leaders because of adultery.

Deuteronomy 22:22 Doesn't mention the word "soul" speaks to a physical death of the flesh, whereas Isaiah speaks to the soul, and we are told in

Matthew 10:28 And fear not them

which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul:

but rather fear Him Which is able to destroy both soul and

body in hell.

Again Isaiah 3:9 The shew of their countenance doth witness against them; and the declare their sin as Sodom, they hide it not. WOE unto their SOUL! for they have rewarded evil unto themselves.

Big difference in the death of the flesh and death of the SOUL.

Remember Abraham (before the LAW was given) to our Heavenly Father "Preadventure there be fifty righteous within the city: the subject matter was Sodom and Gomorrah and the reason for it destruction?

Abraham got the number of righteous within that city down to 10 and our Heavenly Father said for the sake of 10 He would not destroy it, but not even 10 were left in Sodom and Gomorrah.

So you keep equating sins, I personally am going to stand against this "DEMAND" to make it a standard of this nation and party that everybody sins and Sodom and Gomorrah is no different.

By and large, gay men should be natural GOP voters on economic issues. They're single, have more disposable wealth, and tend to own their own businesses.

Didn't Mary Cheney attend a rally last time?

If she did, that's great, as long as she left any pro-gay agenda outside the door.

I think it is good that you love your nephew and he probably knows that you still consider what he does a sin, the problem is a lot of families just 'sweep it under the carpet' hoping it will go away..

"Shrewd maybe" however, this is more cover for the Mz. Hillary attempt for that seat of "glory".

Make it so politically incorrect to take a stand and there will be no one willing to raise the issue.

Bush got 25% of the gay vote compared to 9% of the black vote.

Martin Mull's gay character (who owned his own business, I think) on Roseanne (Leon) was a Republican.

She still does, she's in charge of gay and lesbian relations as a liason of sorts, i.e. its a BS job, Joseph Coors (god rest his soul now) was a huge conservative backer and was the benefactor and founder for Heritage Foundation, he had this job created as a favor to Cheney despite his own political views.

Its half true, according to gay organizations, its lesbians who do really well, gay men, do about average or slightly less then the average straight male. (no more specifics were given, i.e. married or single, etc).

I could take a pretty good guess on her beliefs. Before Dick Cheney hooked up with W, he had said a couple of times, he supported civil unions, after joining the campaign, he never mentioned it again, and Bush condemned it.

That is sad. I don't agree with the life, but if people didn't love others despite faults and flaws, I would be the first to be alone! I have enough trouble keeping myself up, so I agree with you--love 'em anyway.
