Hey, Flyboy! Women voters agree: President Bush is a hottie!

I had the most astonishing thought last Thursday. After a long day of hauling the kids to playdates and ballet, I turned on the news. And there was the president, landing on the deck of the USS Abraham Lincoln, stepping out of a fighter jet in that amazing uniform, looking--how to put it?--really hot. Also presidential, of course. Not to mention credible as commander in chief. But mostly "hot," as in virile, sexy and powerful.

My only problem with Bush in that pic of him in the Flight suit is that he looks like he is wearing "hi-waters",(trousers that are too short).

Back to the subject in question, which is that the flysuit and discussion of said suit is driving the democrats insane.

That line says it in a nutshell. I think that the majority of service personel don't care if they don't get medals, they don't care for the pomp and circumstance of the military - they just don't want to be forgotten! I admire the way that Rush Limbaugh talks about us military folks. After 18 years in the Navy, I never thought that what I did was such a big deal, until I got out here in the civilian workforce and listen to kids - in thier 20's - and how they cannot understand how the military people do what they do. And I admire President Bush for not forgetting the troops. He has not always done things I agree with but as I told a friend the other day, if I have a litmus test for a candidate it will be how they will treat the military. Bush recognizes his awesome responsibilty as CIC and does not shirk it. To him, meeting the troops is not part of the job - it is a welcome break and fun for him.

Repeal women's suffrage AND raise the voting age back up to 21 ! I would gladly give up my right to vote, since so many females, who vote becuase of how a candidate looks, would no longer be voting either. :-)

Sorry, but you'd have to pry my right to vote from my cold, dead hands. I happen to be a female with a brain, not an empty-headed soccer mom.

I think this new view of Dubya says a lot about the Democrats. A lot of women were sold a bill of goods in the 90's and they're just now realizing it.

With the bent one they were told that only image and celebrity were important: truth doesn't matter, fidelity doesn't matter, the military doesn't matter, integrity doesn't matter. The media even made a whole campaign out of "Character doesn't Count".

Then, along came Dubya. Even those who weren't in his camp yet recognized that, indeed, integrity matters. Now they see that truth, fidelity, the military and character....yep, they all matter.

And the really funny part is that this is all being brought home to them by images of a "hot" president who's thoroughly faithful to his wife. I just LOVE it!

During the election there was a film clip of algore huffing and puffing and jiggling in a jogging suit followed by a clip of W running in shorts and a T-shirt and I thought - wow! W looks good!

This is *very* interesting. I sure hadn't thought of it, but Bush looking virile and vital in a flight suit may have won the soccer moms for 2004!

Personally, I think it's a shame that that may be the criteria for voting. However, if it helps to break the chain of mindless party voting, *whatever works.*

This thread reminds me of the statement that sometimes a man/woman is sexiest, when they are fully clothed, not half naked. I keep thinking that what makes the president so very attractive, is the fact that even those who admit to thinking he is a hottie, know that he loves his wife, and is faithful to her. Love and physical affection between spouses is so over-looked these days. Sure, physical attraction is part of how we judge people... but, saying the president is gorgeous, and faithful to his wife kind of crosses each other out.

There are many, many reasons why I voted for Bush. Yes, I thought he was handsome. But, that doesn't mean my vote was uninformed. He earned my vote in 2000, because of the person that he is, not what he looks like.

Why are the Dems in a panic?

Along with President Bush's support of our military and American goals of the War on Terrorism, if his Tax package gets through, it will provide such an economic surge that the Dems will not see power for at least another 10 years, and no power equals no money. And he will be virtually unstoppable, as will anyone in his cabinet who might choose to run in 2008..

THAT is what scares them.

You can accept the certificates and manually remove them later, or cancel them; these ones are not an issue. But it is good they popped up for you, means your security settings are set to a good level.

You wouldn't want Kerry get elected, for instance, because soccer moms find him more sexy, do you? Fortunately with Bush as the Republican candidate, we don't have to worry about that.

Soccer moms don't like "Lurch" Kerry, either, it would seem.

Edwards is popular with the media because THEY (being mostly left-wing liberals themselves with an understanding of the power of the mass media itself) also believe that the Dems will have to field a good-looking candidate to even come close in the race against Bush. Call it the "Dukakis Army Helmet Factor" if you will.

It was duly noted on one of the all-news TV stations yesterday the contrast between the Clinton appearance and the Bush one. The commentator said (and I paraphrase) that the military personnel were respectful but not full of smiles and welcoming as what took place with Bush. Definite "body language" difference - MAJOR difference.
