CANDIDATES SHOULD ONLY BE HEARD AND NOT SEEN !

You've just wiped out 80% of women ever voting again. All women should have to pass a test. 10 pictures of men from say rock star to balding old fart and if they pick anyone that they would vote for Prez they would be disqualified from voting.

Ok, I only wanted to read about President Bush. Why did she have to ruin a perfectly happy picture in my head by tossing in yuckball bill and his crooked appendage? Only talk about President Bush. :)

I have to say I agree--the Prez looked hot :)

I first noticed this a while back, when he was sporting jeans and cowboy boots at the ranch.

Of course, I respect him as the President, first and foremost, but the flight suit didn't hurt!

Now don't get an inferiority complex over this. ;)

I think it's not just looks that makes a man a "hottie".

I couldn't imagine how anyone could find slimy Bill sexy.

Bush is both a "man's man" and "a real man" from a woman's point of view. I think people are reacting to his leadership, character, integrity, with a dash of "daredevil" in the mix.

You're correct and then, you aren't quite. But, I know what you mean. Today, most previous presidents would NEVER get elected. Heck, they most probably would never even make it through a primary and into being a candidate. Lincoln? John Adams ? Hoover ?

In fact, sad but true, this " image " thing ( " sexy " ) all really started with JFK. One can peg the utter stupidity of " voting for the " hottie " ", from the Nixon/JFK debates. Those, who heard it on radio, said that Nixon had won hands down. OTOH, those who saw it on T.V., gave it to that moron, JFK.

Lighten up fellas!

FReeper threads are filled with comments by guys salivating over "Republican babes" like Ann Coulter, Michele Malkin, ect, not to mention "Belly Girl" being posted everywhere.

Now it's the ladies' turn.

I have NO idea why anyone would find the president " good looking " / sexy / a hottie, nor WHY it matters.

He's a passably okay looking man with a walk like a duck. I like most of what he says/does. He has a good character. I am SO glad to be rid of X42 !

Exactly. That is why Dole didn't have a snowball's chance in you know where against Clinton. And that is why Bush has a terrific chance against any Dem candidate they can drag out. Which is exactly why the Dems are being hysterical.

You're welcome !

I'm a political junkie, who comes from a long line of political junkies, who were/are poltyically active and well connected. Since I grew up knowing politicians and those who are behind the scenes, I am NOT in " awe " of any of them. I don't give a damn about whether they are " sexy " ( and that's in the eye of the beholder/ mass hysteria / brainwashing, anyway ! ) and am thoroughly disgusted and sickened to see women, on our side, act like the drooling Clinton sycophants.

Repeal women's suffrage AND raise the voting age back up to 21 ! I would gladly give up my right to vote, since so many females, who vote becuase of how a candidate looks, would no longer be voting either. :-)

And we have a few 15 year old Freepers who are talking about other things of "W"...can you imagine that?

Much appreciated!

That second photo captures the real reason President Bush is so appealing--he's genuine.

Sure. I wish everyone would really study and really understand the issues and vote based on that, instead of soundbites, misleading ads or looks. I would like to have people pass a test before they vote. But I don't have the power to change reality.

So, I am just glad that now we have a president who is a real leader, honest, with integrity, smart, decisive, has the courage of his convictions AND attractive. I'll take any edge to give him a better chance at being reelected.

You wouldn't want Kerry get elected, for instance, because soccer moms find him more sexy, do you? Fortunately with Bush as the Republican candidate, we don't have to worry about that.

Djossou and others said they were surprised by how down-to-earth Bush seemed. Petty Officer 1st Class Will Harthoorn, 41, of Stockton, Calif., recalled the president telling him he fixes coffee for his wife every morning, the same ritual Harthoorn said he follows when he's home.

Interesting sidenote: The first thing Margaret Thatcher did every morning before heading off to run the free world with Ronald Reagan was to go into Number 10's small kitchen and make her husband breakfast, HERSELF.
