Almost EVERY line, word, number and name in that movie has double and even triple meanings... that is what makes the movie so amazing to me, it is layered throughout :-)

Relating to the "twin" or "double" theme, you constantly see Neo twice... in mirrors, reflected off windows, computer screens, sunglasses, even that spoon. Neo's metamorphasis takes place with a shattering of that mirror or "double"... that enormous mirrored building rippling and then exploding to fill the screen.
The whole movie is constant levels and layers, it's fascinating and you catch something different every time you watch LOL
Yes, and I am convinced of that by the incredible depth of detail shown in all other cultural references in the film. BTW, while I wouldn't much like the comparison to Christ in reality, I think this is an example of truly brilliant writing. As an aspiring writer, I am most impressed.
