Almost EVERY line, word, number and name in that movie has double and even triple meanings... that is what makes the movie so amazing to me, it is layered throughout :-)
Another hidden meaning the author of the article missed with regard to religious references, Nebuchadnezzar also pertains to people refusing to worship a false religion and then being rescued from destruction by a savior.
Relating to the "twin" or "double" theme, you constantly see Neo twice... in mirrors, reflected off windows, computer screens, sunglasses, even that spoon. Neo's metamorphasis takes place with a shattering of that mirror or "double"... that enormous mirrored building rippling and then exploding to fill the screen.
The whole movie is constant levels and layers, it's fascinating and you catch something different every time you watch LOL
