Check my bookmarks (under my profile). I have a couple of decent book threads bookmarked there.
Currently I am reading The Second World War by Winston Churchill. A six-volume set! After that, I will tackle the three-volume Civil War series by Shelby Foote.
Of course, I have to find time to read Babbit by Sinclair Lewis as this is the next book on P.J. Comix's Freeper reading list. I will ping him to this thread to tell us when the deadline is. I think it's May 24th.

Off the top of my head....
Winter's Tale by Mark Helprin.
I, Claudius and Claudius the God by Robert Graves.
The collected short fiction of Cordwainer Smith.
The Witches of Karres by James H. Schmitz
Collected poetry of Rudyard Kipling.

Read every thing you can....the fact that we have words as a communication device is overwhelming. None of us can intelligently disagree with another opinion, unless we have read everything on that particular subject.

None of us can intelligently disagree with another opinion, unless we have read everything on that particular subject. So, one has to read everything every written suggesting the world is flat, from the writing of the ancient ignorant to the modern flat-worlders to intelligently disagree the world is flat?
Some descrimination in reading, I think, is warranted.
(I know that's not what you meant. Just pulling you chain a little.)

thanks for the advice, but a freeper had an extensive list with well written reviews. There were a few books on the list that I could not remember the titles for.
